So our back up plan is one of:
Adam Kingsley (internal - Assistant - FWD)
Simon McPhee (internal - VFL Sandi)
Darren Crocker (North - Senior assistant)
Matthew Knights (VFL - Geelong)

Excuse me if I call that short list pathetic. 1 has had full time senior coach experience, one has been a caretaker, one has only ever been an assistant and has no senior assistant experience, the other is yet to have a role at AFL
Level.

That's our round 1 interviews for the short list of the entire countries list of coaches.

I did post this last night...

That's an interesting article. From what i gather, they are implying that we might just throw the job at Richardson... given they interviewed him 2 years ago and don't need another interview.

Hmmm. so they call him and say: We have interviewed who we want and we want you. Here is the offer etc... I doubt it, but who knows with our club.

But yeah, it's speculative stuff rom us.

I'll be happy with either Richo or Choco... as long as they end in O. Kingso, Crocko or or Knightso don't have the same ring to it IMO.

Most of it's been cleaned up now. Someone just bumped a heap of threads from 2000 or so and posted mumbo jumbo in them. They've now either been locked or deleted.

Bizarre even for us.
Why would we push so hard for somebody who didnt really want the job?
Did we just offer more money and he said " oh OK then"?
Richo has been knocked back more times than a drunken bloke at a lesbian bar.
Yes i know Hinkley was an assistant a long time as well, but Hinkleys record has been pumped up by taking over a team full of great kids. Richo wont have that luxury.

Weeks ago Finey said this would (or should) happen. There's no way in space 24hrs a bloke goes from not having bar of us to signing and being fully on board. This has to have been weeks in planning and we've just been looking at wrong charade.
