Hey guys just thought i would try to get this page moving along, who in your side is the one player that your club can least afford to lose.

The person at the club we could not lose is the Thursday night cook, we have been trying for the last six years but he keeps finding his way back to the kitchen.

Go Demons in 2008!
After watching the Division 1 grand final we need some bigger bodied players and I'm sure our guru coach Steve "Shoesy" Hughes will get the job done!

Apart from StKC no other club could offer anywhere near that figure for only a player.Different for a gun Captain/Coach with AFL experience you maybe able to justify it?

Doesn't look great but, keeping big Phil would help alot.Have been advertising for players in the Herald Sun and Inside Footy so i think the powers to be are having a go.

I think that's the preferred option at this stage if Reecey goes.We need 10 good senior players to take the next step and a good playing coach would help.

Hawkys I think I know who you are and you'll have a clue on whats going on atm.

What has Reecey said about the job? I haven't seen anyone from the club since the last game due to the pies playing on B&F night.
I know Phil would be a huge loss, but like I've said to Dave in the past, they must chase good players to the club, no reason why we shouldn't get them.
Got great clubs rooms, great blokes around the club, great helpers and in the last 2 weeks of the season we had 7 or so under 16's play 2's with 1 playing in the firsts in the last round and holding his own.

The thing with Phil is he's not a money chaser and has the captain on offer.
If he does leave that'll hurt, but we'll have to live and move on.

Doggies have spoken to Brett Voss but I can't see him going to the Kennel. He knows too many blokes just down the highway to join their biggest rival.

Vossy will play in the VFL or pack up and head up to QLD.

Good on the Dogs for having a crack though as it doesnt hurt to see what blokes want.

I'll know more Cup week when I'll be with all the big (off field) players at the races.
I'll love to get Voss to come down & I can't see the fact that he knows too many blokes at Chelt being a reason not to coach the doggies.

Couldn't agree more as i think he may well stay.If the club can remain midfield for the next few years and then some young blokes come through each year then it will be exiting times ahead.Remember Marshy and Poelsma are back next year so keeping Phil and getting some quality smalls is the key.
