Who is dane swan playing for the rest of the year??

Heard Healesville with Potts and Edwards .

Wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t play anywhere though

Seems like a very likeable and relatable person, but happy to take the cash off clubs as stupid as clubs like stkilda city and port colts
Ask him in 2 years time, and he won’t even remember what clubs he played for in 2024

So when times are tough you go and join a contender in the same league?
Shows the type of character by that action to be honest.

He's from the GC, so had no ties to the club whatsoever.

From the sounds of things, coach leaving and poor communication with players etc. Don't blame the guy

Colts are silly - should be audited
Dingley - how long until we realise they have always paid over the cap ! Crooked club that kiss leagues ass .

City , east Malvern , Highett , Chelsea heights , east Brighton and Clayton are teams that I can remember who paid high profile players ! All been down divisions and for a while aswell .

Was told was the plan but Healesville spooked by the outer east board auditing clubs who were found guilty of breaching salary

Off to the colts he hops , Hibberd still playing past June 30? He had told his close mates the fire brigade intake was on the horizon so he may have freed up some space $$$$ for Swan.

Ladder shaping weeks coming up for division 1

Colts actually have a big junior club, you’d hope they’re nurturing those players as well as bringing in the mercenaries. Ignore your own at your peril, they’ll go elsewhere and when the mercenaries inevitably depart, you’ll be in trouble.
Lots end up at South Melb Districts, or they used to

Dingley spend big money on all their recruits, be good if they could get live scores going

Saw Dingley last 3 games and they seem to have lost purpose, direction and will. New player might just spark them up for a run at Cheltenham. Noodles (might be carrying an injury), Freeman and Peet below par. Got plenty of player point in hand so why not get reinforcements.

Also, the Mordi kid at Doggies is good mates of Sillar and Beveridge, so it's understandable he would want to play there.

And SFL will announce that this year is last for 1 up 1 down. from next year its 2 up and 2 down as Pakenham, Officer and maybe Berwick will look to join Southern.

Yuck.
Narre, Paki, Officer and Berwick. Hampton Park, Doveton and Cranbourne too.
Where to Next?

There must have been a rethink, as some clubs were already told back in May that its 2 down at the conclusion of this season, with the intention of Narre coming in & now Berwick Springs voting to come across - rumoured to be into Div 3.

I can't see how it can work with fixturing without having a 2 down this season, for a competition that has a 10/10/8/8 divisional competition.

11 teams in 2025 will see a 20 week H/A fixture that has everyone playing each other twice
Add into fixturing:
• Round 1: April 5th (earliest possible start)
• Easter Saturday April 19
• Intended Interleague: May 10 (will have to be canned)
• King's birthday weekend
• Top 5 = 4 weeks of finals
• Grand final 20/21 September as AFL Grand final will be 27th September

Food for thought here

2 down in div 1 & 2 will see a 10/10/10/8 comp

20 game season adds another 14-15k to your football department budget
