You wouldn’t think so. But I think Ashwood had some issues with ground availability early in the season? Potentially threw off a lot of fixturing. Having Lyndhurst vs CPL and Narre vs Black Rock for the first time in Round 9 is weird, but it also ends up balanced by the end of the year eventually. What is with the messed up fixture? Teams playing teams a second time before playing everyone atleast once. Teams playing at another teams ground twice before getting the alternate home game. Teams getting stretches of up to 3 home or away games in a row. Surely couldn’t be that hard to get it right from the start.
for sure, it's a real mess this seasonWhat is with the messed up fixture? Teams playing teams a second time before playing everyone atleast once. I assume you mean the margin?Any surprises from the weekend?
Well except Narre South V Heatherton
Hampton already look like solid D3 quality in division 4 this year too. Accounting for other top 4 teams easily
add in they spending the salary cap again. So they should. People forget they were in Div 2 a couple of years ago before they cried poor to the league and asked to come down.
Yes still weak as p*ss, many clubs have had horrendous seasons and toughed it out. No respect for clubs like this!So they should. People forget they were in Div 2 a couple of years ago before they cried poor to the league and asked to come down.
I’m sure they’re devatasted you have no respect for themYes still weak as p*ss, many clubs have had horrendous seasons and toughed it out. No respect for clubs like this!
Almost like there's an unwritten law that a team isn't allowed to win too much. Lets not gloss over the fact that they didn't have a reserves team 2 years ago & barely got one up last seasonYes still weak as p*ss, many clubs have had horrendous seasons and toughed it out. Other situations in recent memory eg: East Brighton 2016 had no reserves and continued on playing in D1 (getting pumped) without crying poor. Might have been another there as well.Almost like there's an unwritten law that a team isn't allowed to win too much. Narre Warren has picked the Southern Football Netball League as its target for 2025.Narre Warren coming to Southern footy league? Is the rumour true or is it 100% confirmed?
Are they suited in Div 1 or Div 2?Narre Warren has picked the Southern Football Netball League as its target for 2025.
Around 70 people attended a Special General Meeting on Tuesday night, where the club updated members of its plan for the future.
Narre Warren plans to take both its football and netball programs from the Outer East Football Netball League to the Southern league.
The club must inform the Outer East league before June 30 and then will have to apply for the Southern league.
The decision follows a failed attempt to join the Mornington Peninsula league this season.
Narre Warren has played in all three of the Outer East league grand finals and won 42 of its past 45 games.
Club president Peter Lindsay said the SGM “was an update” for members.
“It was pretty straight forward ... we had spoken to both playing groups of what we intended to do,” he said.
“Everyone is comfortable with a move to Southern.
“We’re now at a stage where we’re close to these trigger dates, so we wanted to bring everyone up to speed.
“We’re excited, to be quite honest, we see it as a move that will provide us with greater opportunities.”
Lindsay said the travel involved in the Outer East league was a factor in the decision.
“We’re struggling to keep footballers because of the travel,” he said.
“Footballers would rather play closer to home or closer to town, they see travel as a problem.”
Narre Warren will add sides to the Southern league’s growing netball and under-19s programs.
They wouldn't be coming across for anything less than Div 1Are they suited in Div 1 or Div 2?
Div 3-4 I think they will be too good and dish out big winning margins.
