If the Chad Warner rumors are reality then Dockers gotta move on from this. Bolton feels like a panic move. Dockers have many years to get this team where it needs to be. 1 more year waiting for Warner/Kozzie isnt the end of the world here
For 2025 its time to play NOD and Erasmus and see what they can do. As far as HF for 2025 just keep with the Frederick/Switta duo. As for small forward, pray Walters gets back to some fitness + seek out a stopgap in the mould of Matt Owies or Curtis Taylor

The Rioli one will be the earlier one done of ours as GC need to flog off the spare picks potentially to help the Houston deal.

The fact that he isnt the number 1 target to stop at Freo means that I really believe that if you do the Pick 10 and 11 deal, by the end of next year you will see all the posters on the Tiger's board calling all our recruiting staff morons because they let him go for next to nothing. He will look fantastic rolling through the centre for a rotation with Brayshaw, Serong and Young.
I want him gone because he is not the player we need. In a shit side, he is a 30 - 80 range player in the league. In a good side that is contending, he can turn up and be top 15.

You need to show some patience with this list because your window is absolutely enormously long. Id rather wait a year and get the best available then panic and get the Start Now option
Warner is a top 20 player. Bolton a top 100. Id want the top 20

Does it worry you at all that the culture will are building will be eroded by having a fwd flanker the highest paid player in the team.
We traded Shultz & a couple of 2nds last year into this draft and it cost us a spot in the finals. Spending some this season isn’t going to wreck us.
He won’t be, Richmond will be smoothing a bit off that to make it so his pay is in the right spot. Even if there is a portion of his “sign on” bonus paid by Freo.

Will they? We all assumed so for weeks but didn't I see a story last week about us adding a year to his contract? Maybe we're looking to swallow the whole thing. I suppose the final trade price will tell us.

Also adding 1 mill in salary to the cap however and then losing 2 of those picks is a big issue. You are in for a world of shock if you think 2 top 20 picks is getting you Warner or Kozzi for example
Some serious underrating of Bolton in this thread. Easily Richmond's best player who is just coming into his prime.
Forget form over last year, nobody at Richmond had a good year. Kids with another on the way, 25 years old, away from stability/family to help ou, once settled he could be anything, he's close to it now. If Freo think they are close, then Bolton can be icing on the cake.

They are chances, not confirmed requests. Bolton & Pickett are very similar so you take what is available.
We’re going to struggle to get both in next season anyway unless we flip someone decent for cap space. We could also pay Richmond extra for some cap space & then live trade for another F1.
I’d prefer to just use 11 + 18 for Bolton but trust Freo will make it work.
