walking out with a smile that they managed to get great value for a guy who was about to put in the most phoned in season of football they've seen since that Richmond player eating a cheeseburger at the break mid game.
Lucky you’ll get to compare Bolton’s 2024 season to Brayshaw in 2025

I think Richmond are hungry to buy Fremantle's first round picks and are pleased to push Bolton onto the table to get them.

The end result might just dictate who wanted each component more - it sure looks like Freo are happy to spend the picks at the draft instead.

I'm expecting Freo to make the same offer to Melbourne for Pickett before the end of the draft period. Freo effectively have two picks around #10 and two later firsts, including that F1 pick.
Melbourne aren't as far away as Richmond and won't be as desperate for draft picks ahead of Tassie coming in. Richmond know Bolton is unlikely to be there when they're next in the running.

The Andrew Brayshaw who was touring open homes in Sandringham on Saturday.

Bolton for Brayshaw who says no?
Brayshaw and Serong are the welcoming party for players who want to come, they're almost scouts as well as players, Brayshaw is the person I'd say is least likely of anyone on the list to leave.

I appreciate a good troll. I truly do. But this is lazy. It'd be slightly more effective if done on a less footy dedicated forum and there hadn't been about 500 different statements from the club and Brayshaw that he was looking to sign on long-term. Hell, Brayshaw and Serong were the ones doing the meetings with Baker to try to sway him to come here.

If you want to be a more effective troll, try spamming comments under posts by the Flagmantle Facebook page. The people there are probably still convinced Will Brodie would be a Brownlow medalist if JL wasn't shackling him.

My opinion is it will end up 10&11 with a pick going back around 22,23.
If the Tigers get pick 14 from WC for Baker & 6,22 for Rioli
Then pick swaps with the Lions for pick 20
The Tigers would have 1,6,10,11,14,20 in the 1st round then picks 22&23 not including Graham Compo pick
Would rather give you guys 10 11 18 and 27 with 14 and 23 coming back.

You get our 2 highest picks and upgrade our next two picks.

Bolton's family is already back here in WA from what I understand. #10 and #18 will be enough, and Richmond will pay a chunk of his salary, walking out with a smile that they managed to get great value for a guy who was about to put in the most phoned in season of football they've seen since that Richmond player eating a cheeseburger at the break mid game.
Amazing troll, well done, this made me chuckle.

Thing is.... we won't know the intricacies of any deal. We won't be made aware of any salary covered ...or not ...so any deal is going to make the fans of one of the two sides ...unhappy.

Long and the short of it is...I would hope 11 & 18 would be enough but if it's more I'll assume were in a good space with salary cap (perhaps even for Warner next year) and move on.

I'm pretty sure that any salary covered is loose information that is thrown around.
Joms and brodies covered salary was stated.

I bet they are.
Don’t reckon they could care less about picks 12&13 in this draft though 🥲

Richmond wont be laughing when we walk Bolton to the PSD*

Very happy to keep Bolton and have him steer the ship into several top 4 picks over the next few years if were not going to get a decent offer.

Dunno why Freeo seem to have this view that we are so desperate for late first round picks when the state of our rebuild means we going to end up with plently of early picks naturally.

As an observer, it's many Richmond posters here that seem desperate for draft picks. Dropping into every space of BF pushing relentless sales pitches for all their wantaway players. And I totally understand it. No doubt every clubs BF posters would do the same if they were wooden spooners with a rookie coach facing a massive rebuild.

I guess the assumption is that Tassie concessions mean you've got to hit the next three drafts hard, and successfully, so a touch more pressure on the here and now. Also Bolton doesn't strike me as the steering kind (Baker absolutely). This year's draft is also being reported as essentially 1-5/6, then throw a blanket over it til 30 so arguably more value in 18 (though conversely less in 10 & 11). As said previously, neither club has a reputation for being dicks so this'll get done. 10 & 11 plus salary and something in the 20s, or 10 & 18, less salary (if any) and probably nothing coming back, or late pick Richmond won't use.

Neither party will be chuffed, neither party will give a shit come round 3 or 4.
