Who has had the wood on the other so far?
Who will have a better year next year?
Who do you think will be better over a ten-year period and why?

I think Higgins has more potential. Thats taking nothing away from Hurn, but you just feel Higgins has a class about him thats rare. We won't see the best of Higgins until he moves into the midfield although he will always be able to rest in the forward. Him and Gilbee are the only players on the dogs list i would let have a shot for goal to save my life.

But i'd say Hurn probably has a few more runs on the board at the moment. And because of there positions its to hard to compare them fairly.

Very happy with Hurn and wouldn't even consider a straight swop with Higgins, who is a very good player I must admit.

Hurn has been playing HBF out of necessity at the moment and I think he will be a much more dangerous player when he begins playing out of the midfield and half forward, with the laser beam 60m passes into the forward line.

Depends on the player you want

Higgins is probably the closest thing I've seen to a young Ben Cousins - Both started their career as small forwards with burts in the midfield - and Higgins will ultimately play on the ball while resting on the HFF [even looks like Cousins, runs like Cousins and kicks like Cousins] - however it remains to be seen whether he will have the ON FIELD work ethic of Cousins i.e. Gut running, been the best trainer at the club and etc

Hurn eventually will become the Riciutto/Voss type of midfielder [well that's what Colin Wiseby predcited - actually rated him as the number 1 pick 05] i.e. The big bodied midfielder who can throw his body rate around acting as an enforcer around packs. Also Hurn is far from slow, ran down Alwyn Davey. Like Higgins though it's all speculative as to what rolls the club wants them to play

I seriously have a man crush on Hurn, but I reckon Higgins has just that more class

Both will be certain guns though

Higgins is probably the better player and may turn out to be a top tier midfielder but don't discount that Hurn can kick a goal. Then again, so can Ryanette Lonie.

I like the way you used capitals for ON FIELD - very tongue in cheek indeed. Both kids have a lot of potential - we will have to wait and see

Nathan Jones.

hahaha.

Nah I'd probably take Hurn if I had a choice but they are both terribly good players and I wouldn't be unhappy with either. In the draft I was hoping we got one of Higgins, Hurn or Jones that year.

Well Well Well ... it looks like we have some trade announcements to make GloveMan!!

Hurn and LeCras to Bulldogs for ... whats that Lynchy ... FOR FREE!!

YAY!!!!

Now to the question ...

Higgins (surprise surprise) has the most natural ability.

Hurn looks good and I had him in my FF team this year, as I had Higgins too. I just think Shaun looks the goods.

But then again, I do see him week-in week-out so it is hard not to be a little biased!

:p

I knew I would miss a word

Even though i think Higgins still hasn't shown his full potential, ATM Hurn has show his worth. Can't take anything away from both boys.
