NO TROLLS Should AFL players bend the knee before each match in 2021?

Let me remind you of what you said.

So you said he wouldn't have been killed if he was white. So your statement is quite clearly false.
I mean, he wouldn’t have been killed if he was white, that’s obvious to almost anybody. There probably isn’t a single case of a US police officer having a white man pinned with a knee to the neck with that much force for that long without resisting arrest for the crime of an alleged counterfeit bill. For black men there’s now hundreds of cases where proven excessive force by the police have lead to unnecessary deaths.

Heck, there’s dozens of white mass shooters that live and get arrested without incident in America. It’s not really even up for debate that racial bias in their police force is a massive problem.

i cant wait until space travel gets invented then all the white people can be on one planet, and the asians can be on another, and the eskimos can have their own planet and so on and all the planets can be 50000 light years away from each other and this conversation doesnt need to be held anymore

Hate to break it to you but they invented space travel quite a while ago.

I like it how you make up stats and make it sound like fact. I am sure there is a dead white man somewhere that can be found. You know why there are dozens of white mass shooters that you don’t hear about being arrested? Because they kill themselves or get killed. Look it up.

Not saying racial profiling doesn’t occur (it does) but don’t make shit up to make your argument.

I mean yeah, generally the point of a protest is to bring attention to a cause

Don't discourage people for taking a stand against something they believe in.

And the cause is? The same one everyone was FOR nearly a year ago? A bit late for that.

FYI, I hope the killlers of George Floyd get life (I don't believe in capital punishment).

Did he say that lesbians are bad?

Is it sexist to say the quality of the league is on par with an U15 boys comp ?

If you were betting youd put your money on the AFLW team? I wouldnt.

"I've got a problem when the AFL sees a need to fund a league for lesbians"

Not surprisingly you support north - there hopeless at football but full of woke morons like yourself.

Boring post from a boring bloke. Keep fighting the good fight against historically oppressed minorites you big hero.

Then prove his intent was to kill him, because of his race.

Why do you think the elected prosecutor, who would received a direct benefit for convicting him on murder one is only proceeding with a
murder 2 charge ? Because he can't prove that the murder was intentional or due to his ethnicity. It was an unintentional homicide (a misuse of force) he owed the man, he had subdued a duty of care. He failed to give this duty of care and if it can be proven the death was as a result of positional asphyxia or pressure on the back of the neck, he will probably go for murder 2.

By the way, positional asphyxia and related incidents are common in all law enforcement roles around the world (i don't whether that police dept provided that training). It common for criminals to claim they "cannot breathe" and use that as an opportunity to escape custody.
Derek Chauvin’s intent wasn’t to kill George Floyd because he was black. But George Floyd died because he was black. Do you get the difference between those statements?

Not many of the deaths by police are because a police officer has decided he hates black people and wants to murder one for that reason alone. But way too often they resort to deadly force when it’s not needed, or in this case racial biases that are embedded in them come out and they don’t listen when someone’s says they can’t breathe because for that police officer they are more likely to think a black person is lying than a white person. And it keeps happening over and over disproportionately to people of colour.

I agree that poverty is a much greater indicator of crime than race, much more, but there are plenty of poor white people in America too, violent poor people as well, but they don't get killed by the police anywhere near as much.

I remember when I used to teach and if I was teaching at Epping kids who went to those schools were generally speaking well behaved, but kids who went to a school west of Blacktown, despite being the same race, were much much more difficult to teach on average, and it is because the kids at Epping come from middle class to wealthy families while the kids west of Blacktown were far more likely to be living in poverty.
And it was difficult with these kids probably not because they were poor, but their families were probably poor because of certain factors? Alcoholism, IQ, things outside their control, work ethic, abuse/damaged etc. poverty itself doesn’t make them difficult to teach but other way around?

Let me make some wild predictions how this will unfold.

1. Social media and the woke twitterati will of course widely publicise this.

2. Through a combination of misplaced self importance and peer pressure the gesture will quickly spread to other teams.

3. Mick Malthouse, Eddie, or someone associated with the RSL will criticise this provoking a massive twitter backlash, a Q&A special and at least one Waleed Aly monologue.

4. The AFL will get behind it, produce commemorative merchandise and a Colgate advertisement.

5. Football fans won't give a shit, and absolutely nothing about race relations or indigenous disadvantage will change as a result of this. The world will continue to turn.

Can we just save time and skip straight to 5?

Similar problems in Australia as Aboriginal people are imprisoned and killed in custody per capita far more than white people. It is just a more hidden problem because there are fewer Aboriginal people in Australia as a percentage than black people in America.
Killed in custody...... Lol

100's? Should be easy for you to list 100 right now then.

I hate how we started taking a knee because somebody in the US was murdered, it got into our sports and now basically anything is now associated with kneeling.

And if you dont kneel you are made out to feel like a POS.

It’s bigger than one person being murdered by the boys in blue.

You’ve already shown your hand, and you lack of knowledge in history, by saying sport shouldn’t have politics involved.
Sport has always had politics involved.

But equal rights shouldn’t and isn’t political. Nutters who try to make it out that way deserve an uppercut.
