I guess this means the AFLs 20th team will be in WA.

We get to build the code in the non-Perth market for a few years before being dumped and left looking for another ‘secondary market’ to pay the bills.

I know I’m being cynical but it sucks that we need to bounce from one short term financial sugar rush to another.

I wonder if the club has a 20 year plan or if we just stumble along, hoping that eventual success on the field will turn things around

AFL testing the waters for a 3rd WA team.

We tested the waters for them in NSW/Canberra, the Gold Coast and Tassie.

More than happy to get paid good $$$ to warm that seat for a decade and still bring games back to Melbourne.
