Spotless has a capacity of at least 10,000 less than Kardinia Park yet GWS get to host finals there.

Spotless is considerably closer to the SCG than Kardinia Park is to the MCG.

The AFL have no integrity at all and the fact of the matter is if someone at our club even says a word about it out of line they'll be charged a minimum of $20,000

**** off AFL

Were you saying the same thing about the VFL when you were playing home finals at the MCG and Waverly

If GWS at Spotless is sold out then perhaps it should have been at the SCG.

But the AFL don't expect a sell out. So why move it to the SCG?

And 10 oppo supporters are worth at least 1 GWS supporter to the AFL.

And any Sydney supporter who cares can get a seat at Spotless.

And any interstate supporter who carers can get a seat at Spotless.

Your analogy with Kardinia is bull$^&*

Was waiting how long it'd take the salty Hawk fans to come in

What will you do in September?

Could only be 2 finals game in Victoria (Not including the GF) this year.

Why would the AFL even consider a game there, they want to maximise crowds and money.

Last time we had a final in Geelong, there were 4 first round finals games in Victoria, 3 at the G, 1 in Geelong. The cats also lost this game.

The Giants having a final at the SCG could hurt their brand. They are trying to be a team for Western Sydney. Playing at Spotless right now in their short history is the best thing for the club. If it is a sellout, so be it.

If they play the Swans. Well, it would have to be ANZ Stadium.

Surely if they played GWS it should be at Kardinia park, what's the point of playing at the MCG when there will be at best 35,000?

Would be the only final in Melbourne that weekend (unless Richmond lose to saints). Would easily get 50k-60k plenty of MCC/AFL Members who get free entry will go along

Geeze if Richmond play at Spotless first week it's gonna fill pretty quick. 24,000 is pretty bloody tight

I would say surely they'd move it to ANZ (if Richmond were to play GWS), but ANZ is not listed as a finals venue.....

They'd have to play a GWS vs Sydney final there there.... Spotless is way too small and SCG would barely fit everyone in....

Then here's an idea- get in early.

If you want a ticket you will get one.

No offense meant. I was just applying logic.

Hey, if it is a cut throat final, ending in a flag, the Hawks will play you anywhere. Doesn't matter to us! :)

Spotless is small, but the Dogs Prelim didn't sell out last year. A house full sign would not be that bad surely?

Nope they win and richmond win, Geelong Richmond qualifying final. 90,000 at the G, music to the AFL's ears
Or they're hoping Richmond lose on Sunday and end up hosting Melbourne or Essendon at the G...97-98k for an elimination final is nothing to sneeze at.

For the record and just to make sure I haven't jinxed Richmond with the above statement...please beat st Kilda on Sunday. :'(

Well thats good for me, but what about the other 20k or so of my bretheren who wont be able to get one because its sold out.

Poor diddly diddums. If you can't be bothered getting on early then I'm not going to feel that disappointed for them!

The grand final sells out.. a great concert sells out...

Get in early. Simple!

Yeah that last final at KP was more about spite toward Etihad stadium than anything

Geelong play 2 home games at MCG throughout the year, and all of a sudden because it's finals they need to play another one even if they earnt a home final. North has more home games at Blundstone! I remember when interstate teams were forced to play at the MCG some years - Brisbane had to do it in 04 against Geelong, and I remember west coast having to do it against Essendon at some point. That sucked massively, and it sucks now. It's not about distance, it's about having home ground advantage. Geelong doesn't have that at the MCG.
