So, after a really frustrating sim error we missed our spot in the top 4 and lose to a club who didn't deserve to be in finals anyway. That sucks but it is these emotional lows in Qooty that make the highs so much sweeter.

Off the field no club holds a candle to us. On average 16 posters a week is a stat other clubs can only dream of and we achieve that week after week. Every single on of you should be proud of your work this season. It has been amazing. I really do hope you all stick around for the next season as we will finally go the distance.

Congratulations to Gray Day winning the AFL Medal earlier in the season and we look forward to a possible Mobbs winner, some strong EKA favourites and more than enough quality to fill out half the All SFA side. If I was allowed to nominate you all, I would.

The Swamprats B&F won't be until the new year given the Grand Final is a week before Christmas but until then there are still 3 more Gif Fridays to be had with teams that probably won't want any of it but are going to get it anyway.

Thank you all for an amazing season and I look forward to seeing you all around still.
 


Sadness.

A most enjoyable season off and (mostly) on the field has come to a premature end.

Hopefully we can keep this group of posters together until we get what we deserve, the Premiership.

Well done to Millky95 in his first season as skip - well assisted by Ant Bear and Cloud_ , while I have no doubt Butler will be back in full force next season.

Congrats to Gray Day on the ALF and good luck into the EKA chances in Far Kern , miggs and sportsmaniac89 .
Hopefully Ant Bear can take home the Mobbs and we can make it a clean sweep of the major awards.

Along with everyone else that was around the place this season, it was heartening to see the return of Noobz0r, Nursie and ShaunDuggan to the posting ranks.




You kids all make this the bestest and most enviable club in all the Sweet FA.

It's always lame as when we're not involved as the match threads go up this time of season and I have to write a post longer than my usual two lines. First of all, well done to Millky95 on a successful first season as captain. You had massive shoes to fill when spooks stepped down but your leadership and organisation of this club has been first class.

Congratulations to Gray Day on winning the ALF becoming only the second ALF Andrews Medalist in club history. Also to our four fine rookie recruits this season Far Kern, miggs, sportsmaniac89, and ChristopH really encouraging to see you guys getting actively involved in the league consistently through the entire season. Most season we get 1 or 2 rookies to really come on and have an impact in the league so to have 4 is an amazing result. I hope you all enjoyed the league and stick around for many seasons because the Sweet FA really is one of the funnest places on BF and you're all a part of the reason why.

A big thanks to AB for picking up the game stats after I dropped them midseason. AB deserves a lot of credit, firstly for his active involvement in match threads every week and add on top of that huge club projects like his history thread along with running a league wide Fantasy Qooty competition. It's no doubt a tonne of work and you deserve a lot of credit.

The Monday of Grand Final week is Mobbs Night and I think we should have very strong contenders for every award; AB for Mobbs and TFLUA-Tiger, Far Kern for EKA, Gray Day's already won the ALF, along with several in contention for All-SFA. So a clean sweep is very possible and would surely be history making.

On the topic of the club, I'll probably get onto collecting votes for the Macca Medal (players' award) soon, maybe after the werewolf game. It use to be that we re-read every match thread and hand pick the best posts to find out who the best poster is but since we're a big club and most of our threads are 40+ pages no one has that much time (not even AB ;) ). I'll make the format a 5-4-3-2-1 vote and the criteria can just be the broad one of most overall contribution to the club; match threads, team threads, Rats-related media, etc.

I'm sure I've missed some people who absolutely deserve a mention, sorry I still have that lame 5 tag limit unlike the other guys who have supertagging powers. But the Rats have grown so much since I've arrived and everyone one of you should be proud of what you've made it to be and I hope it forges ahead and continues on to become the dominant powerhouse of the Sweet FA landscape.

And just for the record Ant Bear has also put in a lot of work with us rookies that some of you might not know about, and not just the scouting reports in the first half of the season where he really helped us settle in. Part of the reason this has worked from the point of view of the rookies (dare I presume) is how welcoming everyone has been, and Ant Bear's commitment has been the glue that's kept that together. It's appreciated.
