Would imagine Grealish stays for at least one more season now.

Lampard should stay for another season to get Derby promoted, but the Rams are going to have to cut costs apparently so he may not want to.

Anyone else think it a little strange that the Play-off final winners get a trophy and the players get medals for effectively finishing 3rd, but the team that finishes 2nd gets nothing but promotion?

They do? Yeah that is odd.

Villa back where they probably belong. They’re too big of a club to be playing in the championship. Their supporters are campaigners though. Was hoping they’d endure more heartbreak at Wembley.

I suppose it’s a trophy for winning the playoff ‘tournament’

Just confirmation that the winners (norwich) got their trophy.

I wonder if Sheff Utd got anything for 2nd. :)
They got a spot in the PL.

Watched it in a British pub in Vegas here. Filled with Villans, some Rams fans, two cheeky bastards in Birmingham kits and one cheeky bastard in a Forest kit there to wind the Derby fans up.

We went spare. Loved it.

Which pub is that? Have watched some games in casino sports bars but they are usually quiet as,

The Championship is an awesome league. The promotion element means a handful of sides can’t dominate every season like top tier competitions and the playoffs add to the end of season spectacle as well. Lots of clubs down there have retained their identity and remind me of top flight English sides a long time ago.

Agree. I’m a Fulham supporter myself and loved our time in the Championship living over there. Good quality of football for the most part, more games than the premier league, more authentic fans (crowds not diluted with the plastics and tourists like the premier league), cheaper tickets that are never sold out, and players who genuinely play for the badge and supporters, rather than the pay cheque.
