Tippett has had one season I can recall where he finished the season well, and you are correct, it was re-contract time. He usually limps through the back half of any season.

The irony is he is still a better option that what we currently (have bar Jack). We would be better off with someone like Casboult or Redpath as a stop gap if stop gaps are our only real option.

I'd try and shake Reilly O'Brien free from the Crows as a good rival and back up to Nank. Former Calder boy could be encouraged to come home.

Carlton have 13 players 195cm and above!

Wouldn't Essendon's James Stewart (formerly GWS) have been handy forward cover for us right now! Some of us mentioned it.

Maybe Tom Downie (GWS) might come good with some time away. Vic Country boy who can ruck and still young enough.

I definately did rate him as a junior. As i said earlier he was the 1 player I wished we drafted. He never got to where I thought he would be. But was a handy player if he wasn't the number 1 tall forward or ruck. Was handy number 2.

But in the last few years he hasn't really been that anymore. Never paid for his Swans payday thats for sure.

I couldn't see us being interested him.
