The title is tongue in cheek, but it's an interesting thing to discuss anyway.

So how did your team go?

Your thoughts on other teams?

And if you're one of those "how can we know how teams went until the players actually play and the draft actually happens!?!?" types, then please ignore this thread and start your own "retrospective analysis of trade weeks from years gone by" thread.

I know the trade period isn't finished, but it's close to being done, close enough anyway.

Not over yet.

SOS and Allen to discuss Tomlinson and SOS really wants him.

Yarran only leaving for pick 12.

Happy with Henderson, Menzel Bell + pick 41 for Pick 8, Pick 21, Kerridge, Plowman, Sumner, Lamb and Phillips.

You are joking right?

You received 2 list plodders from GWS in 2014 and 4 more this year

You are GWS graveyard B Grade players

Melbourne picked up Bugg who is way ahead of any of those players and Pies Treloar, yet you are happy??

Geelong has done very well, if Pies can get Aish close second if not equal

lost: Carlisle (big loss), Melksham (no biggy), Giles (VFL ruckman). pick 44. one spot slide in 2nd round
gained: pick 5, 6 spot upgrade from 63 to 57, craig bird.

Getting pick 5 gives us a solid B i reckon.
If 5 turns out to be a combo of Parish and Francis, i'll give that an A.
Or if we get a CHF who solves our forward line issues.

Now that I thought about it seems like Geelong.
Dangerfield worth more than they paid. Gave up no established players to get him. Did not lose a Duncan or Gregson and that is brilliant for Cats. Great get.
Got Selwood's brother as depth player for nothing. Got Zac Smith for the other reduced to clear packet of chips and given they probably win premiership in 2016 they gave up pick 18 or lower for swingman Henderson. All will be in the finals team. They were a side on the slide, now right back in contention.

Zac Smith and Rhy Stanley as the two rucks and Dangerfield, J Selwood and Blicavs as other main midfielders is great set up. Bartel in his twilight years from the flanks handy luxury to have. A fully fit Duncan back and maturing Caddy and Guthrie is very good midfield rotations.
If Mitch Clark body does not stand up they got Vardy and Hawkins to play as key forwards or Hendo to help out. Clark is really just a bonus if he gets on field and plays. When he is fit, he is a handful. Nice bonus to have. Most bases covered now. Still got good experience down back. Youngsters Gregson, Lang, Cockatoo, Bews, Thurlow, Murdoch, and Kardashian will mean the players retired will not be such a big loss.
Steve Johnson gone but with David Menzel back it is easy to see the upside for next season.

I think West Coast was solid without being spectacular:

Positives
- Redden and Jetta fill needs and come into our best 22. They suit us perfectly so hopefully they can deliver.

Negatives
- lost midfield depth
- lost Sinclair (partially offset by getting Giles)
- no pick before 31.

7/10

Lost midfield depth with the addition of Jetta & Redden?? You upgraded Selwood and Rosa not lost depth
