Max Michalanney has a 20m sprint time of 3.028 which I believe to be respectable for someone of his height, particularly when combined with him coming first for agility out of 14 SANFL players at last years Combine. The sprint time was 4th out of 14 SANFL players present.

BILLY DOWLING was second out of the same 14 for the 2km time trial, completing it in 6 minutes and 21 seconds. I do not have his 20m sprint time. If some has access to it please post it here.

Both Michalanney and Dowling have pretty reasonable leaps on them. Stats available here: 2022 NAB AFL Draft Combine Results - SANFL

One for the draft watchers....If Harley Reid had've tested last year, why do you think his 20m sprint time would've been??
Around what he put up in the preseason testing I guess. Fits in with the explosiveness he's shown coming out of stoppages.

Vertical: 81cm
20m: 3.004
Agility: 8.714
Yo-yo: 520

I find it dismaying how many players got elite test results and went on to be spuds.
There are many aspects to being an elite footballer. Pace is just one of these. However, it is a great weapon if one is also naturally gifted in other areas. Just look at Rankines burst of speed (2.93 over 20m), and how he can break the lines. The three players we have targeted this off season are gifted athletically (either speed, agility, endurance, or a combination of these).

Sid Draper enters with our equal highest score for the agility test. Welsh with our quickest 20m sprint since Will Hamill.

was this Welsh in 2023?
Correct. That was early February, 2023. At the SA State Combine in early October, 2024, Welsh's best time for the 20m sprint was 3.06. Still respectable, but not the explosiveness of the earlier time recorded. He has lost even more in the way of endurance. An Advertiser article from just over a week ago stated 'Tyler battled shin soreness during the year and struggled in the 2km time trial at the state combine last month, finishing last. Getting fitter has been an off-season focus'. https://www.adelaidenow.com.au/spor...s/news-story/94f6ae0137103c2bd97772dd829859c8

Was never the same after the sled accident.
He was already starting to slide but yeah, it didn't help.

The Sando regime had some ideas that were fails like sleds and tug of war but I don't think I've ever seen preseasons that had me so sold on the idea of a resurgence. Craigy's bikes going into landfill. Everyone looking jacked. Mullet era Tex.

I knew I remembered reading it on here somewhere. According to Jeffcrowe List Mgmt. - 2022 AFL Draft Discussion (about two thirds of the way down the page) Dowliing does 'a 3.10 20m sprint which is average or just below'. In other words Dowling's strength is much more his endurance rather than his burst speed.

Jeffcrowe do you have the source?
Someone showed me the official results , it’s legit
