Adelaide Oval Games
Thursday Games = 1
1 x Thursday Night

Friday Games = 1
1 x Friday Night

Saturday Games = 3
2 x Saturday 3:45
1 x Saturday Night

Sunday Games = 3
2 x Sunday Lunchtime
1 x Sunday 2pm

The R3 game vs North is a rare Sunday 2:50PM game for us. Port usually get these games, we've only ever had 2 or 3 of these games at AO, one an away showdown.

Our Thursday night home record is not great.

Mate we have been pretty lucky most years, we only get 6 (5 until 2023) teams twice so the odds are you don’t get an away game each yr at the Gabba, if anything, we have had “overs” and Carrara is a leisurely 45-50 min drive from the CBD
You maybe right with your analogy but that doesn't pacify me. I understand all the logic but it still doesn't make me feel grateful. I am just a fan who would like at least one game a year but I know it cant happen. Just seeing the players live gives you a better understand or appreciation of these guys. Carrara is a option and one I have taken up but it can also be an inconvenience for personal reason.

From a football perspective, imho our FIXture is pretty good.

The easier start to the season is critical. If we are good enough we will make the Eight.

From a spectator point of view, there is a reasonable mix of day and night matches. I don’t like Saturday afternoon matches because I have to miss my local footy team. For families with young kids playing sport, Saturday or Sunday afternoons are best. For country people, Sunday afternoon is best so they don’t have to drive home late at night. No fixture is ideal with everyone.

Commercially, home games against Geelong, Carlton, Hawthorn, Collingwood and The Pear should sell out.

St Kilda in R1 won't be easy!

Not for us Melbourne based members.
What you and the club don't give a shit about is we only have 4 games to attend this year. Only 4.
Used to be 6. Dropped to 5. Now only 4.
I tried the Ballarat drive last year. Why don't you check your Google and see where all the parking is. Allow a 30 minute walk through wet paths, maybe a small footpath in areas from any spot you can find in distant roads. My socks were soaked through last time. No protection from the blistering cold wind. Crap experience for what is meant to be AFL.
But us Melbourne supporters miss a docklands game for that place. Plus the Haw game in Tas.
I'd settle for one of them and still get 5 here in Melb.
But, like I matter hey.

This is just one of the results of our inept management over the last 20 years.

AFC don't give a shit about SA members, they give even less of a shit about our Melbourne based members.

Roll on 2028 (hopefully)
