I’m not sure you really grasp how serious Jaidyn’s indiscretion was Dave. He was very lucky to be allowed to play at all again this season.

Disappointing result for your club given hes such a talent. Ive been thinking how significant this penalty will be on Stephenson. 20k fine now, but 10 match payments as well. Additionally he was probably in the conversation for AA. He is heading to be very well compensated by the Pies and you wonder how much this will impact future earnings. The old you owe us now for standing by you. Im just curious what your thoughts are on the true loss this will be on Jaiydn?

It's actually damning how people are comparing one incident of this nature to other incidents completely, very completely different i.e. the Gaff incident. What's even more strange is people blaming betting agencies because there's ads everywhere. There's always been betting ads at the footy, there's always been betting ads in recent history. This isn't the fault of the AFL or betting agencies. Stepho ****ed up real bad and paid the price. He's to blame himself, no one else. Not the AFL, not betting agencies, not his mates. Only him.
What's even more frustrating in the fact he said he came forward to Geoff Walsh and reported it because he felt bad and had a bad conscience blah blah blah. We've now found out that's not the case with reports suggesting he just out of nowhere, as if he has rocks in his head, to go up to a teammate after a match and say 'one of our players costed me my multi' like it's absolutely nothing. I don't think we will find a stupider scenario than we have with this Stephenson situation. Absolute mind boggling, everything about.

2-3 goals per game overall I would think. Could cost us a home final, or even the double chance.
Pete Rose did for betting on baseball.
Stephenson is very very very lucky at the leniency of the penalty.
He should of got a minimum of 3 years.
A year for each bet he made.

Exactly correct. If he wasnt a great footballer, he'd be stacking shelved at Aldi.

Doubt that. Daicos will come in and do a great job. Elliott and Adams not too far away.
The team will also lift in general.
No reason why we still can’t make a serious challenge.
Im talking more financially long term. It will disadvantage your team this year no doubt. But this could cost him an AA spot and significant future earnings imo.

Adams looked inconsolable talking to Buckley at training today. I dont think he will be back soon. Elliott is a week to week proposition.
The Jury is still out on Daicos, he has an opportunity to cement a place in the side - I hope he takes it.
I think he’ll do alright over his career. I doubt he’s worrying about things financially.
