One of my favourite elements of this contest is hearing new music, it just feels like a waste hearing all the same stuff we've heard before.

Im open to themes but im feeling brainless.

A couple of suggestions:

• Toys (songs/artists whose name has a toy or some form of play equipment i.e. trampoline in the title)
• Wordle (songs/artists which just have five letters)

I'm just gonna put this out there. I feel like I see the Billy avatars less and less nowadays than when I joined. I feel like people who win the Billy shouldn't be able to join the next round until they're wearing it.

Here's my take:
The contest has evolved beyond the Billy given there is now someone who tries to win it every round and occasionally doesn't vote and still wins it.

The original purpose of the Billy has long disappeared and maybe we don't need it any more.

It was inspired by Packedlunch nominating Hawthorn Football Club Song from the movie 2014 Grand Final, so I'd say that there was at least tacit encouragement to go for it from the very start.

In the Asian round, I discouraged (but didn't outright reject) raskolnikov from nomming William Hung. I tried with The Jesus and In Bum Hole in the same round but he was adamant that it was a classic.

If it fits the theme, I don't think the host has the right to outright reject it, but some discouragement helps.

Sure, on the rare occasion that happens.
But it's now just resulting in a song which is objectively shit being added to the playlist.

It serves no purpose anymore.
