2nd - Olivia Rodrigo - Obsessed - 25 votes, 1 billy - omgfridge

I mean if you have 3 accounts on bigfooty that have all competed in the SC (with more than double the posts of anyone else with those accounts) and then when the links weren't obvious enough got mildly upset about that point... I'd say you're a bit obsessed. JHF1870 Purple7x08_24 Son of Purple ;)

1st - Coldplay - Talk - 26 votes - por_please_ya

Another trade off, about her talkative beloved friend MWPP. As they talk to each other lots.

Lot of talk about Coldplay in the thread but a huge thank you to hotchilli whose votes got the song the win and meant I didn't have to host again. The real mvp imo.

WHERES THE THEME?!
Ahhh, the real reason for the "No".

5: Good Enough - Wolfie's Just Fine
4: Fat Slug - Filth Wizard
3: Rock Superstar - Cypress Hill
2: Nocturne Op 9 No. 2 - Chopin
1: Andy Griffith Show Theme
Billy: Obsessed - Olivia Rodrigo

I'm listening to some Butterfingers again now, they were way better than the Hilltop Hoods imo.

I meant it as a term of affection (it's undeniable you add plenty to the Song Contest). Also noticed that you'd nommed Butterfingers before when checking the spreadsheet.

I'm still burnt by you saying I had no musical taste after nomming Caroline Polachek though so it was a cheeky dig back :p

I don't recall saying you had no musical taste and I don't recall Caroline Polachek, I've never heard of her, I'm in Trump mode.

Nah couldnt care less and it seemed to go alright 😃

I care about people entering and ruining for the rest of us. You offer nothing.

And I did ultimately count your votes even though i know youre full of shit about listening "again".

Have a nice day.

What? You didn't believe me? How offensive. I listened to every song 5 times just to make you warm and fuzzy. ;)

Explain how identifying what I like very quickly somehow "ruined" it for you or anyone else .
And pretty sure I offered votes and a song just like everyone else, and one that most people would never have heard before.

Thanks for your offering :kissingheart:

This one gets its own post as it was my favourite one describing someone.

16th - Fashion Show - Straight - 5 votes - spinynorman

Due to Chipmunk nomming Nickelback last round, norman has assumed that he is straight. Lmao.

Chipmunk - sorry if unfair!

5. Vampire Weekend - Capricorn TubbsFarquhar
4. Cypress Hill - Rock Superstar Chipmunk but I'm reassured my song pick was indeed on the mark
3. Coldplay - Talk por_please_ya
2. Chopin - Nocturne op 9 no 2 DemurePrincess
1. Olivia Rodrigo - Obsession omgfridge

Billy. Brian Coyne - Trump Plugger35 lazy Billy pick but also I got the joke after 30 seconds and then it continued on for another four minutes, which I'll never get back

The **** is wrong with me. Just realized ive been blissfully listening to Olivia Rodrigo for the last hour.
Olivia Rodrigo is good actually so there's nothing wrong

I'm pretty sure that there were quicker voting efforts from Wosh back in the day.

Everyone should do their own thing of course, and I have no idea what your thing is, but I like to think this thread is a good opportunity to try and judge a song on it's merits, rather than whether it belongs to a genre I already know I like.

I feel like skipping through a playlist based on artist/title/30 seconds is more reinforcing your existing musical biases than expanding them.

"Reinforcing musical biases" might as well be Ula's middle name

Considering your pencil width breadth of musical taste, that's one very laughable statement.

There's a lot of assumptions in there.

I'm anti-genre and pro-musicianship, pro-originality, pro-songwriting.

Some playlists, like the last one, are very easily identified as having nothing much to offer me after a quick skim through unknown songs.

Anyone who knows my nomming and voting history over the past 9? years can see the breadth of stuff I've appreciated. Except Loonerty.

I'm pretty sure that there were quicker voting efforts from Wosh back in the day.
And nobody can be sure how long people spend listening to a playlist just because they vote the following day or a minute before deadline.
