Re: Soundwave 2011.

Just received this as part of a newsletter from ironmaiden.com:

"A Land Down Under

If you're of an Australian persuasion, you might want to keep an eye
on the website next week. Just sayin'. :)"

'next week' being the week of August 5 in case anyone missed that. Coincidence?

Hopeful. Although it'd sell out so ****ing fast I'd most likely miss out on a ticket.

Re: Soundwave 2011.

It's not a confirmation guys. :p Don't want you all to expect it and it not to work out. It's just purely speculation and putting it together, could be completely wrong.

The fact that it came from the bands website is pretty much confirmation. If not Soundwave, still sounds like they're coming down!

Re: Soundwave 2011.

I kind of hope it isn't part of Soundwave. It would suck to miss out on tickets behind all the scene ******s going to see shit such as A Day To Remember and Parkway Drive etc. Plus there would be a longer set-list if they came on their own tour. :)

It says something about Maiden coming down, not necissarily to do with the Soundwave festival. That was just pure speculation because the announcements are both set to me made this week. Still, it does seem likely. I just don't want to get everybody excited and have Maiden not be coming lol! :(

Re: Soundwave 2011.

Also, seems that the theme for 2011 will be a pirate one. I'm not really sure why there are themes, nothing is made of it.. well not in 2009 anyway, I didn't attend 2010, I'm assuming there was nothing Egyptian about it? :p

After only twelve live performances the band signed a contract with the Island Def Jam Music Group. However, feeling as though they were not yet ready to record for a major label, the band opted to form their own label White Drugs to put out their first few releases. They recorded a demo entitled Sure Death in 2002, followed by their first single "Bats!" in 2003. Their debut album The Bronx was released in August 2003, followed by the EP La Muerte Viva that November. To support the album, singles and music videos were released for the songs "They Will Kill Us All (Without Mercy)" and "False Alarm". Re: Soundwave 2011.

I'm pretty sure Myles is going to be back with AB by the time Soundwave rolls along, so how's the Slash appearance going to play out?

Is he just going to get a bunch of different people to sing with or pick someone else?
