Allegedly the boot and is likely to fight it. Surely he'll look at his overbearing over umpiring style now cos that's what cost him at the Ammos too.

Is it true the Director of Umpiring has resigned too and is interested in the Eastern Districts job? Maybe that's where the 20 umps will go if he's successful. He's very well liked.

And are the Ammos a tad pissed off at the possible merger of the Moorabbin Saints and Southern Footy umps. Have every right to be as they've carried the Moorabbin Saints for yonks while the SFL sat on their hands.

If 15-20 umpires leave then the comp is stuffed. Can only imagine the quality of umpiring in div 3 if correct. This is very important for the SFL to manage. As much as we all love to bag the men in orange, without them there is no game and no SFL. Hopefully its not true.

Heard Adrian Newman has signed on as assistant coach somewhere in the bush. Can anyone confirm???

Rider & all you SFL boy's...this is great news for the individual however if 1 club is prepared to spend say $1,000 per game on one player then this just provides a spiral for all clubs - how can the league survive on this type of cost.


Also, I never revisited, however at the start of the year the proposal by the league in regard to a side that had surplus players could go and play with another club on the weekend....how did that program work out?
