Glenn Krepp will be a big inclusion for Lyndale

wasnt sure which side he was playing for on saturday ;)

dominated....big pick up, very good player[/quote]

Haha yeah he played a quarter or 2 early to help us out obviously as he played for us last year.

When we had the proper "senior" hit out he was one of Lyndale's best. Had a super year for us last year

Dragons beat Box hill Nth

Early game: BHN 13.3.81 Dragons 9.2.56

Late game: BHN 15.5.95 Dragons 13.13.91

The weekend wrap from a viewers point of view, is that i hope that wasn't the dragons best team out there on the weekend because if it was they will struggle this season. BHN had 15-20 players not playing, 12 of those players that were not playing would be good-very good players in BHN one's! As i said i am just a viewer and am being honest about the Dragons.

Those dim sim aren't match payments man!!! Hahaha, woooo bit of a scary outlook on the dragons by the casual observer, I don't know how many players we were missing wouldn't have thought too many, good luck to BHN with their 10-20 inclusions still to come, great depth, should be a premiership chance in VAFA D4...best of luck...sandown hitout should be a good time to work on things that need to be addressed playing an opposition that we will meet 3 times this season...

think the team to watch out for is endevour hills, think they will come undetected or under the radar!

which teams will play finals and who wont be? any predictions?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I think Lyndale, Mt Waverley, Sandown, Moorabbin and Dragons to play finals... Anything can happen in the finals.
Endovour hills to just miss out. Doveton on bottom.

Glen Krepp - Lyndale For League B&F

Ill change that to dragon to just miss and endevour hills to get into finals, nothing against the dragons, ur coach just quit and it will be tuff to get everything going with the season around the corner but as has been said anything can happen a long season and injury will be the killer, a real test of depth this season i think

Spoke to a few guys from Nyora on Monday afternoon and they said they only had half a decent side in and they had 50 shots on goal to Endeavour Hills 10 shots, they reckon E/Hills will be lucky to beat anyone this year. Maybe the bye will help them out haha.

Yes, our senior coach had to step down and please don't use the word quit, it makes him sound like he quit on us, he didn't, he has family issues that he needs to put before Footy, which is understandable and id do the same in his circumstances. It's very private and personal so we will just leave it there. As far as the club is concerned, we will continue as planned, a different voice but not a strangers voice, a dragon since our conception has taken the reigns interim for this season, this rallies the boys and not deter the boys.

I guess we all have to wait and see, just want to clear up that coach has family and they come first. Good luck all..

seems like the 4 teams Lyndale,Sandown,Mt Waverly and Moorabin will definatly play finals so it will look like 5th spot will be up for grabs should be interesting to see how this looks at the half way point. Unsure about Moorabin but think Lyndale and Sandown have Recruited the best of of the lot and should expect to see them up there at the end of the year!

Ps, he didn't just leave...interim coach had the reigns for sometime already, since mid Feb...but I guess cobra10 is wishing we are in turmoil...lol come on man, here I am wishing everyone the best...haha see yous for a hit out sat.

Hope all is well, so who is the new coach and will the old coach be coming back?

Nice little article about the direction and the amount of work that has gone into the sandown footy club over the preseason...

Dandenong/Springvale Leader Newspaper this week.

It was only a few seasons ago that the Sandown Cobras were so short of players they considered going into recess.

Those bleak days are well behind them. Now they have more than 100 registrations, a new coach Mick Rossborough and recently had 72 players at one training session.

But is it a case of quantity over quality?

No, Rossborough says. He thinks the Cobras will field at least 12 newcomers in Round 1, when they play local rival Lyndale.

``I know it going to be very hard picking the first team,'' he said.

Rossborough has been around football too long to go making big predictions before a ball has been bounced, but the talk in Southern division three is that Sandown is poised to make a serious bid for finals.

The recruits include speedy midfielder Dan Macklin from Cheltenham, Tooronga Malvern midfielder Jake Chapman, Hastings half forward Aaron Woods, small forward/midfielder Daniel Ralph and full forward Dale Fitzgerald from the Eastern Football League, and Doveton Eagles full-back Daniel Maskiell.

Rossborough also mentioned new registration Shannon Schofield. ``We haven't played a game yet but he's already my favourite player,'' he said.``He's just goes 100 per cent. I've had to tell him to pull back a bit.''

The Cobras have also regained former best and fairest Shane Cosstick, Aaron Powell and ruckman Daniel Mulvogue.

Mark Frenken is assistant coach and second-year player Jason Toan has been promoted to share the captaincy with club stalwart Mick Robinson.

Rossborough listed Mitch McGovern (work commitments) as a key loss but said the additions far outweighed the subtractions to the squad.

He said ball work had been a focus of the pre-season and the players' skills ``have improved out of sight''.

At the end of last season radio SEN commentator Brett ``BP'' Phillips joined Sandown as general manager. Rossborough said the move had taken the administration to another level.

``It's very professional,'' he said. ``Brett's very switched on. We're a division three club but the professionalism is so much better than what you’re used to.''

lmao...you read far too much into practice matches.

half a decent side many of whom has played for years compared to a clubs first ever hitout who probly didnt have a full lineup of best players considering the 1 hour trip down to Nyora and it was Sunday - there was alot of people still playing the 2nd day of their Cricket Grand Finals.

April cant come fast enough! thats when you can start reading into scoring shots.

It's good to see not many people talkin bout Dandy, my opinion is as good as any but I tip they will go deep into the finals

None whatsoever.

dandy deep into finals. its like saying danielhm will chop out a burger before the end of this year. no chance what so ever. my top 5 read like this,

cobras
mount
dragons
moorabbin
lindale and falcons to battle it out 4 this spot.

also heard a whisper, that the cobras are set to announce another top line signing from tooronga.

alot of talk about lindale, but they got easily beat byabout 9 goals by malle eagles last week. getting cracked by a bush whacking mob cant be good 4 the confedence prior 2 round 1.

cobras and the dragons game will be good to see. if cobras cant beat them by more than 10, they wont do jacks rats this year. again the cobras will just fall short, lew short

Given the signing of the snakes, and not gonna comment on my own club as we strive to be playing better than last season and we were semi finalists, I do think the snakes are gonna be the team to improve the most based on info on paper, that being said the club has a culture of hard work and with better admin they are gonna be a force this season. Don't write off the mountain lions, and looks like Lyndale is gonna be strong too, all these makes sure divie 3 Footy is alive and well...good luck this weekend and hope no injuries before season proper.

Iv'e had a look at the Cobras signings from TM there not that great,2nd rate ressie players.D Macklin talks to much start producing on the ground.

My ladder for season 2011.
Lyndale 2 games clear
Mount
Moorabbin*
Dragons*
EH*
Doveton Eagles*
Sandown 3-5 wins
Dandy 3 wins

* These sides will be fairly equal with a game or 2 seperating them.

That is a fairly fair Ladder but sundown have recruited well, I say they will be in the top 3. It's pretty simple though the club with deeper pockets will win the flag! That's just how it is these days!!

Given over the years the team that gets relegated plays finals and seeing lyndale list is the strongest it's been in a long time they should go back to div 2 but the question is how long can they stay up there and can they keep players.

More then welcome to come watch me play tomorrow greengold... Ive never talked myself up on this websiteor any other. I have only ever talked about how our club is travelling as i see it. I know that people know who i am, and i dont mind that, im not hiding behind a keyboard taking easy shots at any player or team on this forum.
But your entitled to your thoughts, i just dont see the point in bagging anyone at all. We are all out there to enjoy the game.

If Sandown has improved over the summer, with new recruits etc, then they should beat Dragons by 10 goals tomorrow.. A very weak, (maybe inexperienced is a better word) looking dragons side will be lining up for various reasons.. Should be an interesting match tho
