I have spoken to several club reps and I am wondering "How many new signings each club has" ?

I have been advised that Doveton is up there with around 18 new signings
( Lets wait and see ), obviously not all Senior players !

Can anyone match that ?:cool:
I'll let you know round one.

Who cares simpletonian 18 signings fantastic how many loses. That Is All

No Need to get upset Mr Within, I was only advising what I was told and trying to get some discussion going.

You understand that word I hope !

Regardless of losses 18 is a big influx for any club irrespective of who they are.

That is all :D

scratcha isnt that basically the same ladder as last year?? minus black rock
Yer, I didn't go out on a limb did I :D:D
But I dont think the bottom 3 teams could make up the extra 10 goals they got beat by most weeks, and as for the top 5, I think it will be fairly close again! With Dandy the big improvers!
Well they probably should with the $$$ they have spent:D:D

Here's my predictions...

I'll leave Mount out because according to everyone their club is always gonna have a good year.

Skye
Canterbury
Dandy
Doveton
Sth Yarra
Cerberus
Sandown

I think the top 5 spots are going to be very tight this year, and who ever finishes 5th will have been very unlucky.

3 from the seniors. no more than that from the magoos!! might do a mount and ask if we can feild 6 reserves sides!!:D

Thomas & Colbert out as everyone knows, who is the 3rd player out from the seniors Blac?

As it has been said there are roughly 18 new players down at Doveton, probably more. Mostly young blokes around 20 years old. They are all mates with the young guys that came down last year. Some have played the last couple of years in other leagues and some havent played since juniors. So its hard to make of the quality, but on training form i would say a few will be straight into the 1's round 1. Plus there a couple of former players who have also come back.

In no real order as present but my top 4 would be Mount, Dandy, Canterbury with either Skye or Doveton making up the 4. Sth Yarra WOULD BE the dark horse.
Can anyone confirm a rumor that the Cobras are looking a bit IFFY ?

sth yarra will be near the top methinks.
How's WA treating you scuba? I tried to persuade Hilly to retire your #23 but I'm not sure it's going to happen. :D

We'd have to be a very dark horse. Nick Owen will be very hard to replace. I see his clearance has gone through on the SFL website.

Any insights on why Nick Owen left the rockers ? Would it be fair to say $$$ ? saw a couple of his games last year very good and a smart player how old is he ?

I keep hearing about Doveton's new recruits. Big youth brigade, few very good signings in the ones. You guys are keeping a lid on it, but you must be fairly confident of a strong showing in 2008? I reckon you may even go in as $1.01 favourites for second (to Skye). Unless Kirkup kicks the ton that is. :D

I can guarantee you that Doveton has not picked up any big named recruits at this stage. In fact we have lost our 2 best players from last year. We have a couple of past players come back and a bunch of enthusiastic 20 yr olds. So who knows how we will fare, all I can say we will have 2 very young teams.

The Interesting one for me is Mount Waverly, I noticed on the sfl website that they have at least 3 or 4 new signings, clearly the team to beat!!!

If they have the same year as last year, with no losses of players, cant really see anyone coming close......

I'll finish that sentence for you mad man.
Can't really see anyone coming close...... to skye except maybe mount if they are on song and corey plays half the twos in the ones for experience:D:D
