Shane Rowley the new D Cassett of 3rd div beware backman he can kick bags of goals
i agree m lion. Will kick bags of goals this year. I wish going places would give a bit more info. He does seem to keep things very in house. Is very cagey (and abusive) about what he posts! Get on board the rowley train people, Will absolutely dominate. Toot Tooooooooooot!

Dont be silly M lion. You obviously have a good one too.

Yippa i know you are gonna post something silly soon, so please go away baldy.

Still no mention on your big recruits.
No recruits to mention as of yet, will keep you posted to any developments. You know me nothing to hide.

Jesus thats a bit bloody harsh aint it!! so Im tipping your a poster boy for health and fitness are ya dud!!!

I'll be the 1st to admit that he aint going to run a mile in 2 minutes but the man will be hard to stop in the ruck, chf,ff,chb wherever the coach decides to play him

thats just my opinion
You should take up coaching MM your invaluable opinion on the man will surley help out the coach,CHF,FF,Ruck,CHB the only spot you never mentiond was the bench.

nah no need for bench, maybe a dashing winger, or an attacking half back flank may also be on the cards for Big Rowley

What do you think mlion you supercoach you???

Doesnt look like big 'Jules Smith' is going anywhere as he was at the Coaches and Captains night the other night. I think South will be the big improvers this year.

Also interesting to see that Mt have signed a bloke from Waverley Blues on the clearance page (If i read it right). Big rumour there is a few more to come. M Lion you play your cards very close to your chest. 6 or 7 new recruits you say, i think it might be a few more mate. (1st top 4 side)

Cantebury boys also looked very fit at the meeting the other night, i think they will be right up amongst it again this year. (2nd top 4 side)

That only leaves 2 spots for the rest of us. All looks in good shape for a tight season. Not far to go now boys.

How are everyones practice matches looking, do you all have grounds to play on. We are only a certainty for 1 game at the moment, depending on the grounds.
Which Canterbury blokes where they? Danny was the only one at the coaches meeting the other night. Canterbury will be an old side again who knows how many will go around again. Everyone would have to be aiming to make the top 4 at this stage, only 8 teams in the comp. The draw might be fairly significant seeing as teams don't play each other the same amount. But what can you do about that?

Out of the players from last year are there many that have pulled the pin? If so are they big suprises? Or have all the guys from last year fronted up again to go with some of the new recruits?

I don't know, just saying they are an old side and their better players last year will be older again. Their two's weren't up to much so they'll be relying on the older types again to get them through. Judging from this forum everyone has picked up a team of superstars hmmmm we'll see. Last season was pretty close all year with lots of hard fought wins - no real blow outs (20goals wins) should be in for more of the same. Still not convinced about teams playing each other different amounts of times like I said nothing can be done but I think there will be at least one disappointed/unlucky side come the end of the season.

I don't think yo are shattered about Mussa MM. Now you can drop into the square with noone else to steal the glory. MM for league goal kicking 2008, that's my thought anyway.
I dont think anyone will be shattered if Muzza leaves. The way he was not offered any coaching role, a job he has done well in the last 2 years, it was like no one cares down there about him!

This time last year all the talk was that Sandown was going to fold. Whats happening down there this year. I have heard that about 5 senior players have left, which leaves the cellar dwellers from last year in a bad situation again... Especially with the leading goal kicker leaving!
Are they going to field a team this year???

I see down at Dandy that they have recruited a bunch of boys from Springy, Including the BIg Show. Now this bloke can kick a bag of goals, although Dandys small ground may not suit him, with shots going over his head by the on Ballers.
Just wondering, which fat full forward will stay in the goal square down there. Westin or Big Show. Lucky they dont have Coats still playing!

Not sure what the bid deal is. Only since i've moved to the city have i played teams the same amount of times. Just the luck of the draw really.
It really doesn't make that big a difference. If you're good enough to make the finals then you will, regardless of who you play 3 times.
Anyhow the league at the highest standard doesn't even play each other the same amount of times, so obviously it cant make that much difference.

Has Sth Yarra have a new ground yet or do opposition teams have to play on that mudwrestling ring again. They maybe should play in someones backyard. At least the change rooms (Bedrooms) will be bigger

they have only been averaging about 15 per night but numbers have picked up a bit lately.they are confident of fielding 2 sides but they wont have much depth and will probably struggle.they sacked there new reserves coach because he wasnt turning up to training...

we will be at the same ground so bring your wrestling trunks.look on the brightside you will only have to play there once.

Seriously, i'm not sure how many times i have to say this but.............. MUSSA RESIGNED FROM COACHING!!!!!

There was a certain section of the Admin that wanted him to continue being senior coach but i will state this again MUSSA RESIGNED!!!

so really if you want to look at it technically, he left the job, i'm pretty sure you dont re-offer the coaching job to a coach who resigned 5 weeks prior

what do you think outside chance???

Totally agree Madman, no point re-appointing a coach when he told the playing group before the end of the season that he was no longer going to do it !:thumbsu:

Blac04, I believe that there may be a further player coming with Mussa ?

Please Confirm !

I thought that someone might have gone with him too, but i think you will find they will be training at Skye tomorrow night.

I dont see how it is the clubs fault or they treated Mussa bad. Mussa and Bravo both decided to give it up before the end of the season for a bit of a break.

Training on a ground tomorrow night, cant wait.

Good news Going Places with mussa staying it would seem that Blac04 was unable to use his Shopping trolley influence :D:D
