anyone know if the points system is being adopted by the sfl? i'm a country boy and its all down there but hardly heard a peep up here in the big city

Yes the SFL had adopted the points system, as it is an AFL Vic imposed policy. However I'm certain that it only applies to the highest division in each league

Who is going or been invited Friday night will filter the nominations down. Who is going?

New Hallam coach sounds good but did he really beat a STRONG Field????....please.

Real pity Frangalas stated throughout the year he was there to develop the playing list and then walks out after one year - poor

Will the new guy provide a link to U18 TAC?...I doubt it but good luck to them as they are in a better space than 2 years ago.

My calculations are that 6 or the 11 Div 3 teams looking for coaches. WOW. Will be an even tougher player recruiting ground in the area now

^^

6 new coaches is bad, clubs turnover coaches as soon as there is no success it takes balls for a committee to stick fat until the final result is achieved.
Any coach that doesn't have a strategic play on moving up the ladder need not apply.

Trendmaster,

Not all coaches are moved on by the clubs, sometimes they decide their own time is up.

Port Colts makes it uneven for div 2 and southern dragons going out makes it uneven for div 3. Bring in Lyndhurst + Doveton Eagles to div 3 makes it uneven again.. Hence a div 3 side (Mount Waverley first) will be asked to enter division 2... Thoughts?

Will not happen. Mount attract players, sponsors, supporters as they can win games during home and away to give them some joy in their lives. Even a final or two to provide a happy ending deep into the year. An uncompetitive club will have all of these groups desert Mayfield in droves and the club will fold. Even 1 year up then down will rip the guts out of the club. Also word down south is that Mathers has had enough and heading to MPFNL.

Congrats to Jarrod Wilkin from MWFNC to winning the Div 3 SFNL League B&F!

Came down to the last round where he got the 3 votes to win by that margin!

That's his 4th League B&F.

Congrats Jazz!

Side note: Jarrod has decided to step down as Coach as he felt his playing form suffered as Coach. So could be another League B&F next year!
He has been replaced by our previous coach Nick Smith, who's extensive playing & coaching background includes Senior Assistant Coach at Port Melbourne FC (VFL), Div 1 NFL & 3 x Premiership Player in the Geelong District FL.
With a couple of past senior players coming back, including the new players we picked up this year, let's just say we're pretty excited for next season to start!
