Terrible ride had it last all the way then had to find runs through packs last 100 meters was super... should run a 1600 meter race out nicely.:thumbsu:

I wasnt exactly following it, heard it in the call 2nd/3rd last rounding the bend.. Was watching Pinwheel fly home down the centre of the track, and then AtF comes through from no where.

14:48 Caulfield – Quaddie R7, 8, 9, 10 (2, 3, 8, 9, 10/ 1, 3, 5, 9, 10, 11, 18/ 1/ 1, 2, 3, 4, 8)

Good result in leg on but i'm nervous for the rest of the legs.

I think Manighar should run well in the CC. Have some it.

Wow, what a win, what a ride, so happy for Leon McDonald, one of the real nice guys of racing, loved his horses for years, and he gets biggest win.

Almost a bonus to be on the horse, just loved watching it win, she is a serious race horse, and always has been.

Tullamore is one of my Melbourne Cup horses now, massive run.:thumbsu:

Yeah real good run considering i think i saw number 14 stuck 3 wide for the start and on the turn trying to find the front. So didnt exactly get the best run either if i saw the right horse.

Lucas was the run of he race watching the relay.
Ran like a horse that will love the wide open spaces of Flemington, and the extra 800m, that and Tullamore are the 2 MC runs for mine.

Out of the quaddie first leg, no Tullamore in my tri's, **** of a day despite having a nibble on Southern Speed.

Lucas will be very hard to beat in few weeks time.

Tullamore killed my trifecta. Had the 4th horse in as well. :( got a place on Green Moon but doesn't half pay for my tickets. Ahhh that's racing!

Feeling your pain fellas, no Tullamore cost me 40% of trifecta:(

Manighar's run was fantastic but watching the replay for the third time it had every chance to win.

Nothing in the run screams out to me to make me want to unleash into it.

Lucas was sensational. 6 or 7 wide around the turn. Huge run.

I backed Southern Speed at $61's for the Cox Plate immediatley after the CC when Leon McDonald confirmed it may run there.

It's been moved into $31.

Don't think the 2000 will suit as much as the 2400 did but still think after that run it should be every chance to win.

Lucas was V.Good.

Tullamore I couldn't bring myself to take seriously but I'll admit it's just my anti-Waterhouse bias.

What were you two thoughts on Green Moon from a MC trial view?

With all due respect will have to disagree, great barrier and the run of the race were largely responsible for her win today not the class.
Good luck with the quaddie.

You can't say a bad word about GM, it was the only on pace horse that was anywhere near them at the finish, and it will make it's own luck in the MC.

I'd say it's a cert for top 5 in the MC, but will likely find 1-2 better then it on the day.

Ran straight past Green Moon who is no slouch with a great burst from the 300-200. Was pushed along from the 800 onwards. And in a race where a 3yo is the favourite I am happy to take the $61's on a horse that should be up near the pace and running home in a very weak Cox Plate field.

Cheers.
