S28 EKA winner and young Bears leader ABE was up and about early this season, taking the new crop of rookies under his wing in leading the Rising Star panel for S29 and played a key role in the SoO winning Vic Metro side back in January. However, in retrospect I can only now assume that his drop in participation levels as the season has gone on can only be due to him closely observing his SpudQoach™ side's form and seeing the writing on the wall ahead of the mid season reveal. So much so, that it even led him to take the drastic measure of disappearing completely from the board in the lead up, under the guise of leading a Bears boycott, because reasons. It all seems so obvious now. Does a bear shit in the woods? Yes, yes it does.

Where do we start here? JerryRapidRiser cemented his status of strongest username to outcome ratio in S29, as he instantaneously fired his account into the sun at supersonic pace almost the minute the first qooty was bounced in S29, seeing his midpoint SpudQoach™ score hit a whopping 182.8 points. Speaking of nuking one's account, you can add long time SpudQoach™ enthusiast and fellow qoach JoshWoodenSpoon to that list, although that unprecedented move has caught many a qoach by surprise in S29. JWS currently registering a 94.7 SpudQoach™ score that will only increase as the season goes on. Throw in moves like naming himself as captain while enjoying a strong season on the qooty field and he adds double points from his 82.8 DT points per game, and naming equally solid performing teammates Matera92 and Ok Boomer and you've got a recipe for an unmitigated SpudQoach™ disaster. Only skipper Test Tickle saving ABE from the all time SpudQoach™ record high SpudQoach™ score of 1059.3 fittingly set by his former Bears mentor JoshWoodenSpoon.

Short of a miracle, it looks like a fitting wooden spoon is coming his way in what would be a touching personal tribute to his former captain.​

S29 rookie Santoz was another player up and about early in S29. Having joined the Bombers well ahead of the season opener he was keen early to get involved around the board. How he stumbled upon the Sweet FA's most bespoke competition is anyone's guess, but having found the SFA's hidden gem, he was keen to jump in. With little support from showboating look at me captain WaynesWorld19, he was left to his own devices to select his side, based largely on names of posters he had shitposted with, and it shows. SpudQoach™ is an unforgiving mistress at the best of times, and Santoz has been totally and utterly ****ed beyond recognition in the first half of S29.

Handing is SpudQoach™ captaincy to another of S29's kill my account with fire crew, CazC30 has left Team Santoz in agricultural ruin, her 154.7 SpudQoach™ score doubled in a display of maximum carnage and a visceral exhibition of SpudQoach™'s brutality. Add to this stars like Elton Johns Wig, Ned_Flanders and Loonerty, and we're already looking at a side that's well and truly out of contention. But then to add further insult to injury, S28 low scorers fumbler and Barrybran have taken their game to another level in S29 with more me time in key positions, and it's all gone Pete Tong for the young Baghdad upstart.
