The tragic young Bear experienced a dramatic fall from grace in S29, which was only magnified by an embarrassing performance in SpudQoach™.

17. AuntyBlindEye - 1150.6

After an ordinary result in the first half of the competition, the artist formerly known as ABE doubled down, adding just shy of 150 SpudQoach™ points to his ordinary mid season mark of 1102.8 SpudQoach™ points.

In what amounted to a horror show, after burning his BF account and following his mentor into oblivion, he then turned the torch on his SpudQoach™ side, as not only did he suffer the consequences of JoshWoodenSpoon's actions, as JWS not only nuked his account but also ABE's SpudQoach™ backline, but he did even more harm to himself, having selected himself in the midfield and inexplicably as captain, all but ensuring a bottom of the ladder finish. Add to that the rare trifecta of JerryRapidRiser and ABE bizarrely covered the spread of all 3 SFA players to jettison their accounts into the sun. The trio providing a whopping 600.9 SpudQoach™ points!! A well performed Barrybran at interchange was another howler, as were the selections of teammates Matera92 and Ok Boomer. The selections of skipper Test Tickle and former SpudQoach™ star and future Bear U2tigers stemmed the flow, but the damage was done.

He would be proud to know that he know joins his former mentor JWS as the two worst peformers in SpudQoach™ history, so at least that would give him some solace should he ever read this.

Perhaps the saddest thing about it all is that he's robbed himself of the opportunity to bounce back in S30 SpudQoach™ from this horrendous showing.

16. Barrybran - 1101.2

An ordinary mid point result only got worse in the second half of Season 29 SpudQoach™ for the
Gumbies skipper, with only dead last AuntyBlindEye saving Barry from himself. While at the half way mark he was Stayin' Alive, it quickly turned to Tragedy, yet he managed to keep his Spirits up, despite finding himself at the bottom of the competition in bad need of a Holiday. Baz added a further 167 SpudQoach™ points to his mid way mark of 935.2 as he slipped from 15th to 16th.

As touched on at the halfway mark, the bulk of the damage was inflicted by his own young Gumbies charge Ned Ryerson, who finished the season on a huge 188.9 SpudQoach™ points, doubled as his skipper. JoshWoodenSpoon claimed another former teammate as a victim, adding a further 150.5 SpudQoach™ points. Demons veteran Deaneus! was another to score big with 123.2 SpudQoach™ points and blow out Team Bran's score out of contention. Furies firebrand Ned_Flanders scored heavily for a defender with his 64.2 SpudQoach™ points, while midfielder GCB85 and ruck Art Vandelay_ added a further 64.4 and 66.4 SpudQoach™ points respectively to rub salt in the wounds. However it wasn't all bad. BRAB was an inspired pick up forward,while former teammate Its Manbearpig and current teammate Dero combined for under 100 SpudQoach™ points, and the selection of another Dees vet, Headless at interchange proved a popular one in S29.

While his SFA side won a wooden spoon in Season 29, at least his SpudQoach™ side escaped the ignominy of a bottom placed finish in the SFA's most prestigious tuber based competition. ​

After starting out peachy keen, things went pear shaped pretty quickly for JWS this season.


15. JoshWoodenSpoon - 1069.5

'Member when this guy was a thing? I member.

Anyway, seeing as nobody is really reading these write ups at all anymore, I think I'm just gunna race through them and give my quip muscles a well earned break.


High scorer - Freakie 200 SpudQoach™ points

Low scorer - Edmund hunt - 30.2 SpudQoach™ points

Why? - Selecting Freakie as captain who didn't play a single game in S29.


You know in hindsight, the team here at SpudQoach™ were possibly the first ones to notice something a little off with the two time beez winner...

14. Bloodied52 - 1061.8

The board's most verbose man will be lost for words when he sees just how bad his SpudQoach™ side fared in Season S29.


High scorer - CazC30 178.7 SpudQoach™ points

Low scorer - LukeParkerno1 - 38.2 SpudQoach™ points

Why? - Selecting Wonders teammate Wojcinski in the midfield knowing where he was likely to play in S29.


I know you will be chastened by this result old chap, but we presuppose you will hold no acrimony, and envisage you reconvening for another assay next season while you still have most of your faculties. ​

There was nowhere to hide for the Bombers veteran as his squad of potatoes failed to deliver


13. Santoz - 1024.6

The elder statesmen of the SpudQoach™ competitors in Season 29, the seasoned veteran most certainly knows his way around a market garden, having not only spent the entirety of his 22 seasons in the competition at the Bombers, but also having witnessing a metric **** tonne of potatoes come and go in his long and storied SFA career.


High scorer - CazC30 178.7 SpudQoach™ points

Low scorer - gym4life - 28.1 SpudQoach™ points

Why? - It's one thing to select her, even though a desperate Dragons outfit was always going to play CazC30 in a premium position... but to double down and make her your captain? Santoz pls.


The shame of this embarrassing result being uncovered and exposed is quite possibly the greatest indignity Santoz will face in S29, nothing else really comes to mind...​

12. harry000 - 956.2

The Warriors vice captain comes into the competition with a clear disadvantage, having only come across potatoes as opposition in his entire time in the Sweet FA. However despite displaying an inability to properly recognise a quality spud, he still managed to get damn close by selecting zackah.


High scorer - JoshWoodenSpoon 150.5 SpudQoach™ points

Low scorer - TedDougChris - 42.0 SpudQoach™ points

Why? - Selected yours truly in one of his most staggering mistakes, as not only am I not fit for purpose in this type of vegetable based challenge game, but I am also not a ruck. This costly error saw him receive RelaxMax as his replacement player, and he was punished for his insolence error.


Somewhere out there in Maylands, poor harry is being consoled by someone's mum as we speak.​

Despite the appearance of an apple, mang was pretty insistent he had just uncovered a prized potato for his SpudQoach™ side.


11. manangatang - 892.7

The Demons champion and media mogul has a keen eye for talent, and with a plethora of stars at his disposal at Mount Buller, it was little surprise he found the going tough in this season's edition of SpudQoach™. I'm sure he will find time to address his acute pangs of disappointment and dismay with Dr. Schnitzerhund over the off season break.


High scorer - Kabanna 150.5 SpudQoach™ points

Low scorer - miggs - 18.8 SpudQoach™ points

Why? - Choosing his own player Deaneus! as skipper was going to be either genius or an abysmal failure. Having then proceeded to not play him, it was certainly not genius.


mang will be devastated by this revelation, and will be forced to console himself with scores of conquests from his incredible number of matches on Qinder and copious night walks searching for fireworks.​

Despite a middling effort this season, Testy would later prove himself once again to be an astute judge of potato with the late season S30 signing of Bono.


10. Test Tickle - 862.2

The Bears skipper had a tumultuous first season at helm of the club, as he not only witnessed mentor JoshWoodenSpoon self destruct, but he would later watch his young charge AuntyBlindEye follow suit, all with a scandalous guilty verdict at the tribunal in between, as the club was penalised for a boycott and charged with disrepute. Sadly, his SpudQoach™ exploits were far less glamourous this season.


High scorer - Kabanna 150.5 SpudQoach™ points

Low scorer - Jezmiester40 - 32.3 SpudQoach™ points

Why? - While inexplicably not the only S29 Qoach to do so, Testy made the ridiculous ruck selection of the recently retired roo2macca, an effort that would have ordinarily seen him receive a replacement player, if not for the fact that the former Gumbies vet actually returned to the competition before the half way mark of the season, joining the Warriors as a free agent.


An avid SpudQoach™ supporter and S28 podium finisher, Testy would be dirty on his result here, especially after successfully avoiding the pitfalls of the JWS and Caz selection mistakes made by many others. Has form and a proven track record so will be one to watch in S30's edition.​

tgrs cruised back into the Sweet FA this season and straight into his first season of SpudQoach™


9. tgrs - 798.2

The Bears recruit and former EKA winner found himself a highly prized commodity on his return to the league, even if his asking price was a tad steep. Still, he was a much welcomed addition to the competition after an extended absence from of the game. Much like his first up attempt at SpudQoach™, he showed a lot of promise early, only to fade away as the season went on.


High scorer - JoshWoodenSpoon 150.5 SpudQoach™ points

Low scorer - okeydoke7 - 29.8 SpudQoach™ points

Why? - While tgrs can be excused for being a tad out of touch with the current affairs of the competition after some time away, a cursory glance at Elton Johns Wig 's sig would have surely been enough to steer clear of the reigning TFLU-Tiger Medallist...


Much like his choice of Sweet FA club, tgrs will be ruing his decision making in his first crack at SpudQoach™, although with a season under his belt now expect him to bounce back in S30.​
