Competition SpudQoach™ Season 29 - Congratulations Callums_Guns!!!

So, TheInjuryFactory why would one steer clear of me? I'm trying to understand what's going on now that I've been dragged here.
The aim of SpudQoach™ is to select a team of the lowest dreamteam scorers possible that will play every game for the season.

Selecting the reigning TFLUA-TIGER medallist was a brain fart.

After starting out peachy keen, things went pear shaped pretty quickly for JWS this season.

15. JoshWoodenSpoon - 1069.5

'Member when this guy was a thing? I member. :pensive:

Anyway, seeing as nobody is really reading these write ups at all anymore, I think I'm just gunna race through them and give my quip muscles a well earned break.

High scorer - Freakie 200 SpudQoach™ points

Low scorer - Edmund hunt - 30.2 SpudQoach™ points

Why? - Selecting Freakie as captain who didn't play a single game in S29. :drunk:

You know in hindsight, the team here at SpudQoach were possibly the first ones to notice something a little off with the two time beez winner...

Thanks for playing Joshy, wherever you are.

Well placed at the half way mark, TJASTA was one of many to be burnt by the JWS selection.

8. TJASTA - 784.5

After a runner up finish in the Season 28 edition of SpudQoach™, and with S28 winner Loonerty hanging up his clipboard, the S29 competition looked like TJASTA's to lose. After being well poised in the mid season update, a combination of the JoshWoodenSpoon selection, and a number of higher performed selections who whilst being flogs, managed to enjoy quality seasons on the field, guys like Ned_Flanders and harry000 for example, and he just wasn't able to bridge the gap.

High scorer - JoshWoodenSpoon 150.5 SpudQoach™ points

Low scorer - MrPremiership - 32.3 SpudQoach™ points

Why? - Selecting ex-Furies teammates JackNah_8 and fumbler, with both enjoying starring roles at the Roys and Dragons respectively, ensured TJ would manage a mid table finish at best. :drunk:

A long term supporter of the concept, the Furies talisman will almost certainly be back for more in Season 30 as he chases an elusive victory. Thanks for playing TJ. :D

'Soon' is now, Agent.

7. Agent93 - 775.5

Looking to emulate the form of fellow East Side Hawk Loonerty in his first attempt at SpudQoach™, Agent93 was perfectly poised for an assault on the title at the half way mark, his 4th place putting him a mere 116.4 SpudQoach™ points behind the pace setter Callums_Guns. However with a handful of players blowing out their SpudQoach™ scores in the back half of the season, Agent finds himself adrift of the leading pack and with a respectable mid table finish.

High scorer - Kabanna 150.5 SpudQoach™ points

Low scorer - jackenny - 26.3 SpudQoach™ points

Why? - Perhaps the only real mis-selections in a fairly commendable squad for a reluctant first up effort was selecting non rucks for the ruck line. Tony Lynn 15 for example delivering an additional 21.9 SpudQoach™ points over and above the eligible ruck selection from his club, KohPhi. :drunk:

Agent is a known competitive beast, and would have pencilled himself for the win here to notch back to back wins for the Hawks, after Loons saluted in S28. Will be a welcomed starter for the competition in S30. :D

Never one to get carried away with himself, I expect Ace to keep a firm lid on it after bouncing back from a lacklustre S28 edition of SpudQoach

6. AceAndy - 770.1

The Dragons skipper headed into his second season of SpudQoach™ full of confidence, trading barbs, calling out fellow spuds and savagely critiquing other Qoach's squads in the lead up to lock out. After looking adrift at the mid season mark sitting in 8th place, he's managed to creep up another couple of spots within striking distance in a respectable second up effort at the Sweet FA's most challenging, low maintenance strategy game.

High scorer - JoshWoodenSpoon 150.5 SpudQoach™ points

Low scorer - StickyMick - 29.1 SpudQoach™ points

Why? - Inexplicably selected retired Gumbies ruckman roo2macca, and looked set for a replacement player mid season, only to have the veteran return via the Warriors in a mid season signing, with roo delivering a considerable 94.3 SpudQoach™ points Team Ace's SpudQoach™ score. :drunk:

Ace never misses an opportunity to pot his qooty rivals, and with an
innate ability to identify a spud given the squad he's meticulously assembled at the Lair, he would be crazy not to come back for another shot at the title in S30. :D

ND will be up and about after finishing in 5th place and expending zero energy whatsoever on this, even less than his media if you can believe that!

5. NaturalDisaster - 767.4

With a team consisting almost entirely of former East Side Hawks teammates after being too lazy to pick a team and plying his trade from the Eyrie at the time, he has done surprisingly well here after avoiding many of the pitfalls that players who actually bothered to carefully select their own squads fell into.

High scorer - Agent93 76.2 SpudQoach™ points

Low scorer - go you pups - 27.6 SpudQoach™ points

Why? - I suppose the only real head scratcher here was that Snake_Baker was only rubbed out once, for a single game, in an entire season of qooty... :drunk:

Well once again ND has proves with this season's edition of SpudQoach that no effort can absolutely get you somewhere, but it will not quite get you to the top. Unless we're talking Sweet FA admin, which is literally the reverse, so ND is pretty much in the box seat. :D

Now that was a great night.

One expects Harvey to be far too busy propositioning young and impressionable SFA posters for his expansion bid to be overly deflated by a close finish sans cigar.

4. Harvey Manfrenjensenden - 703.6

Having failed to submit an entry in last season's edition, after melting over the result in the inaugural edition of SpudQoach™, Harvs was a fair way adrift at the mid point of the season, finding himself a non-competitive 11th place and possibly already drafting up another post competition melt. He even remained a little melty during the sign up phase of the competition. Yet here we are, half a season down the track and with minimal players missing games, he finds himself just one spot shy of the podium, in his best ever SpudQoachfinish, eclipsing his highly respectable 6th placing in the S27 edition.

High scorer - Morganashlee - 113.6 SpudQoach™ points

Low scorer - miggs - 18.8 SpudQoach™ points

Why? - Another Qoach to incredulously select retired Gumbies ruckman roo2macca, only to be somewhat saved by his unexpected return to join the Wazzas at mid season, bringing his SpudQoach™ score into a manageable 94.3 SpudQoach™ points :drunk:

With a keen eye for spuddery evidenced not only by his savvy selections of former Hawks teammates, but also judging by the expansion squad he's assembled at the North Shore Serpents. Harvs is perfectly suited to SpudQoach™, and will surely look to continue his rise up the SpudQoach™ ranks in S30. :D

Once again, I have failed to successfully rig my own competition, however I have managed a respectable podium finish in S29 after finishing one place off the dias in S28, with a close 4th behind Test Tickle in last season's edition. This season's edition swelling to a record 17 Qoaches this season, with a diverse and eclectic field from across the league, and several unheard of account nukings and the like, it has definitely been the most outrageous edition of SpudQoach™ to date.

High scorer - JoshWoodenSpoon - 150.5 SpudQoach™ points

Low scorer - royboy2 - 32.9 SpudQoach™ points

Why? - Selected fringe Wonders veteran Wojcinski in the midfield, who would go on to miss 5 games at the back end of S29, seeing his highly competitive SpudQoach™ score in the mid 20s blow out to a decent 77.5 SpudQoach™ points by the conclusion of the season. :drunk:

To my defence, I still managed a top 3 finish in a hotly contested field, and had it not been for the disastrous JoshWoodenSpoon Factor being applied to Team TiF, I would have successfully spudded my way to the top this season. :D
