Good thread. I want to forget about today! Too many seconds and too many trifectas/first 4's missed by one placing :(

Is We're Gonna Rock any chance of making the field. Is showing as much as 17's at IASbet?

Great betting race the stakes. With a drying track which should be dead on saturday, I like the 16's on TAB for Palacio de Cristal. Have taken the double with BC in the sprint.

hmmm not sure is 3rd emergency and has drawn barrier twenty.

Is the fave of Emirates Airline and has drawn in 1, not sure if the Kav will just go for the easier race with the better draw.

Lady Lynette out to 2000m is an interesting one.

Purple has opened fave for the Matriach as well, it's one of mine, but gee it's eaten a lot of my money as well.

Apparently Hall reported back to Brunton a few starts back that LL had been racing dour and would be best aimed at the Matriach. This was before its last start win. She ran it last year too finished 3rd in a great battle with Purple and Moment in Time.

2yo race is interesting.. a couple of nice, unraced, well bred types + a few similarly talented types with the race experience. I think we might see a good one debut (Sanford) but wait and see I guess.

My boy Red Colossus is in again after a game run in the Mackinnon, he can go close but will be fave.

The Patinack is a spring highlight, the Emirates is bloody tough, Keep The Peace is finally here but drawn the carpark and The Queen's Cup is a mouth-watering contest.

He's not really one of mine, but with the better track, Flemington 1600m now will suit, he'll drift back anyway so barrier is a non-issue, Trusting is right in this one I think.

Will be interested to hear what the track is expected to be/how well it's holding up. Flemmo is world class and it looks to be holding up well for us to expect some good, fair racing, so fingers crossed no more rain (none expected - all aboard the firm side of Dead train?!) and we get a great day of racing :thumbsu:

one of my faves Delta Gee is big overs in the Matriarch at 15s. Last run was huge and will appreciate settling further back at Flemington, 2000m perfect for her.

with all the hype around Black Caviar's last win, people have forgotten Hay List a bit. $2.90 about HL....yes please

looks a nice days racing , will only have a couple bets

race 3 - red collosus - one of my favs, ran well in the Mckinnon, will be too good for these here, regardless of the track

race 5- what a race ! caviar to beat haylist and then melito

race 8- Moudre should win , faint perfume cant be ignored, even though she has had a terrible spring

race 9- were gonna rock just wins . surely

Patinack - Have said that Hay List would be the one to beat all spring and will stick to that, just because I don't want to back out of my comments I will have a bet on him even if he does have some concerns.

Emirates - Captain Sonador is the one I have had an each way ticket on. Back to his ideal distance dropping from WFA level.

Queens Cup - Going to have a each way go at Sea Galleon at 40/1. Should be shorter as distance is going to suit, just needs to settle.

In Sydney Race 1 - Tom's Rocket will get an easy lead and is a very tough on pacer to get past if he gets his own way up front. Have him as a best bet on the website.

Goodie says:
Happy with how the track is holding up and playing.
Dead 5 this morning, pen 4.79 inside, 4.78 outside.
Will get at least Dead 4 tomorrow and firming as the day goes on - a Good 3 is very possible.
No showers predicted.

Race 5 - Hay List

Race 6 - Rothera/Chasm/Palacio De Cristal

Race 7 - Moment in Time, but also Music Review & Delta Gee

Race 8 - Moudre deserves it but I like Exceptionally

Race 9 - Were Gonna Rock.. but I'd imagine everyone will be on this.

my money is on Wall Street

has had 8 wins from 12 starts over this distance

2 starts in OZ nothing to write home about.

For mine he's way under the odds.

The race is a lottery although I'm happy to back Gathering if he gets a run as he should get an easy time in front.
