Two casual fans I watched with hated it. We're actually remeniscing about how good episode one was.

Just got back I enjoyed it up until the ending certainly better than TLJ

The ending sucked Rey should have stayed dead and Ben Solo takes the Skywalker legacy.

They gave Rey everything not only she has her own light saber but inherits Lukes and Leias and the moister farm and to rub it in more she takes the Skywalker name when she's a Palpatine

Went from thinking I was watching a D-grade horror film to watching a D-grade Indiana Jones rip off to watching a D-grade Harry Potter rip off.

Liked it, was an enjoyable ride but have to rewatch to really get a feel for the final scenes as it got a little crazy.

It "got a little crazy" from the moment we saw Palpatine hooked up to tubes. Think that was about two minutes in.

It's a lot to process.

I don't know if it was the cinema i was in but i had trouble hearing a lot of the dialogue during the non action sequences made it hard to follow what was going on.

I quite liked that Rey is the grand daughter of Palpatine and Ben being the grandson of Vader makes total sense of Jedi Vs Sith

I have no issue with her being the grand daughter of Palpatine as a plot concept, but that's clearly not been something thought out since the beginning because TLJ completely contradicts that.

And I'm not having the retcon of "Well your parents pretended to be nobody to protect you", Ren in TLJ clearly says "They were junk traders who sold you for drinking money". The story points were a mess and it's not a trilogy, just three fan films that adjoin.

I always felt Ren was lying to Rey at the time in TLJ so it didn’t feel too much of a retcon

I liked it. Didn’t love it. There wasn’t really a memorable scene though, thought the final battle was underwhelming.
Although Anakins voice was there it was a completely wasted opportunity not having him appear. Would of rounded it off nicely.

The last half hour or so was rushed because I was enjoying the movie up until then it got crazy

How hard is it to stop shooting lighting out of your fingertips when you are the one getting hammered by it ffs. So dumb I groaned loudly at that.
