If it doesn't continue the Skywalker Saga it shouldn't/wouldn't be called Ep 10-12, since the whole point I thought was that the 'Episodes' was considered the Skywalker saga.

Or this is them getting desperate/scared that shelving the 'Episodes' format would turn off a lot of casuals.
Be bold, call it Episode 1 (of the new saga).

Skeleton Crew getting good reviews early. Will start watching with the kids this week.

Meanwhile, the December 26 Star Wars movie has been removed from the schedule. Always seemed crazy to have two in the space of six months. Let the Mandalorian & Grogu breath from May 2026 into 2027, then there's a movie scheduled for December 2027, if it's the Rey movie, it's the best one to take the franchise forward. If the response is positive and other movies like Mangold's and Kinberg's are developing well, then assess how rapidly or otherwise to release them.

Yep. Mando May 26 and Rey Dec 27 is a no brainer.

Everything else can wait. A movie every 1.5 years seems like pretty good pacing imo.

Just watched the first two eps of Skeleton Crew.
Enjoyed it. Reminds me of an 80s style kids go on an adventure show.
A couple of the future plot points seem fairly obvious from the get go, but still entertaining.

Enjoyed the first 2 eps of Skeleton Crew a lot. Best Star Wars since Mando S2 and so far I prefer this type of linear storytelling more than the 'quest of the week' format of Mando.

The opening scene of Ep 1 is actually really similar to what was originally storyboarded for the opening of Episode VII way back in 2012.

Very surprised at how much I enjoyed that, even though I picked the twist early in ep 2, it looks like it'll be a lot of fun.

SM-33 turns out to be the pirate captain from the first scene? Give it a Treasure Island vibe.

I'm glad my shilling resulted in a character being named after me. See guys this is why we do it.

It’s very good so far, the first two episodes breezed by. Crept up under the radar, I knew very little about it aside from the Onyx Cinder LEGO set I purchased a few months ago, other than that I hardly had any reference point for this series.

Perhaps that’s a good thing in its favour? Not sure. It’s a pleasant surprise, nice tone and good casting with the child characters so far. Very much a Goonies style vibe to it, so far it’s working. Keen to see where the next episode takes it.

Only watched it because of posters above and it was the type of level of when a New Hope came out; bit serious here, funny there

Solid actors and there are some excellent Directors involved

To cast a lead character as a puppet/human is a gutsy move and they appear to have pulled it off…just don’t tell me it’s CGI now

Have discovered this documentary that is beginning to be released about the New Jedi Order books. A ton of interviews with those involved with building out the series. Pretty interesting listen:

Baylan Skoll was the best aspect of the first season, and clearly there was a continuation of that arc planned prior to Ray Stevenson’s passing.

Quite a lot happened in that season finale that needs further explanation.
