I actually think under Teague we will win 4-5 games for the rest of the year and he will get the senior gig.

You have been attacking those calling for change and telling them they have no idea about Bolts. The Club proved you wrong.

If I remember he did an ok job with northern blues didn’t he?

Will go in with an open mind, I expect the players to play with more freedom as that usually happens when a coach is sacked, especially with our joyless defensive football we had been playing.

I don’t expect it to translate to many wins, still think 2 more for the year would be max.

Here we are in turmoil and you come with crocodile tears telling people how to think......

Actually as someone who has seen many others shut down I have joined up to let them know people who don't post, read and see the garbage like that poster spews. Funny a few weeks ago you were with them canning anyone who suggested Bolts was an issue. Surprise you run to their defence.

Coached NBs to a grand final from memory.

Great player - winning a BF got best out of himself. Was always willing to put his body on the line and back into a pack. Softly spoken and considered. I rate him highly.

I think we can win them all. Teagues Terriers go barnstorming home........well anythings possible right now.......go blues.:)

Well if he can get something going with this side we’d have to look at appointing him full time. If we have something identifiable as a style of play and some cohesion. Also work on building the rest of a team around him.

A coach is an important part of the puzzle, but not the only part.

You have been here 2 minutes and want to have a crack at me, but that's fine.

All the club has done is made a decision, were you against his appointment? You then state that you knew last year he wasn't capable, but decide to join the day of his sacking?

Then to top it off, you have a crack at Soap and only one player, who is related? You are kidding no one

Criticism isn't allowed. It's met with extremism and snark from head in the sand types.

Yep and given the Club has belled the cat on what many posters have been seeing for months, it is time to call out those head in the sand posters and make them accountable for their actions in trying to silence discussion.

Circuit breaker's are ok but only short term , I honestly cant think of 1 coach that could have done much more with where the list is at currently and as you mention with the highlighted part. Maybe they may have had 1 or 2 more wins but reality is wouldnt have made much difference
Doesn't matter what could've been done, or if anyone could've done it better. He lost the captain and so had to lose his position. If we're 1-10 but still have the players on side, Bolts is still coaching.

You’ve gone far too early with your assessments of a number of players. Yes there are concerns eg dows kicking, but there is a long way to go. Guys like O’Brien will take time.

We’ve got a number of young players going through up and downs and it is highlighted even more by the fact there aren’t many quality senior players around them.

Some of the player assessments you’ve made are far too premature and far too black and white. The players young ages and injury issues make it far more complicated.

You have to play the long game when drafting or recruiting young kids. Players don’t mature when you decide you want them too.

Exactly right why don’t people have a look at some of the players from the same draft years and see where they are at innthere careers, some haven’t even played at senior level yet, and to have been asked to carry the load our young guys have, you can hope for instant success all you like but it rarely if ever happens it takes at least 4 years to get near AFL level for the majority of players and that’s the good ones, our first batch are just there now and it shows, look at Cunners how many times I’ve heard over the past 4 years that he’s a dud another missed pick, SOS only picked him cause he was Jacks friend from Oakleigh etc etc. Learn from it and wait until our third and fourth batches are done in the oven for 4 years then judge the result, until then your just pissing into the wind and getting those of us down wind wet and pissed off.

Join date doesn't equal time spent reading this forum. I am not one to post online. Too old. But I have grown really tired of posters like you and Soapy V trying to silence people concerned about the direction of the Club.

More importantly, I wanted to record my thanks to Bolton for his service. Just because I didn't think he could take us to 17 doesn't mean I dislike the bloke. He gave his heart and soul to the Club - that deserves recognition.

Head in the sand? More playing the man ST?

Criticism is normally embedded within balance.
More? I've seen you devolve into almost exclusively that over the last month. A once reasonable poster. Preach balance but often struggle to show it, this boards a place for discussion, not bullying. Yet you'll continue to, it's become your style and a habit.

The interesting part of the SOS rebuild is that we saw how it worked (and didn't work) with Melbourne. Yet we've followed them making the same mistakes. Cutting too deep and not having enough mature players to lead.

I’ll say it again Malthouse did the cutting before we started our rebuild and that has led to the current situation, Our list was cut to pieces before we started and we are paying for it now.

And what is your style, stating people have their head in the sand because the see it differently? Or trying to tell me that the Saints where as young and inexperience as what we were?

Told you a while back, I will give what I get around this place, from here on end

... so your response is to attempt to silence the posters you disagree with? To call them out as what?

Don't believe I once commented on age, happy to oblige and say I pointed out we had similarly inexperienced teams, but yes. Lets bring up an old argument in which you refused to listen or acknowledge the points raised by the person debating you and resorted to bullying.

Skating on thin ice. Has done Bolton zero favours.
This moment changed my view on their relationship.

A picture tells a thousand words as they say.

Show me where I was bullying any poster and if I did I will apologise

Unless you mean that troll that was just suspended, while others thought he was a concerned supporter thanking Bolton

You are True....it was a mess, and resulted in a total breakdown ...our 22 refused to play for him more or less, board had no choice.
Unfortunately...a similar effect happened late 2018 season...complete rubbish and were starting to see it again this year...team just stopping.
Board had no choice.....the 22 might as well of gone for a training day with the Blues ALFW and done some trackwork..
The coach has to manufacture at any cost victories over the oppositions....proactively implement tactics ongoingly 24/7......
we got no midfield ....so probably wont see Ed back at HBF or Murphy in a pocket ...wont see Polson....etc
If the drafts extract highly competitive stats in VFL...they will make it....EG...CUNNO

It is amazing isn't it. Time for the silent majority on this Board to stand up and call out Arrow, Soapy V etc that have stifled discussion and targeted posters stating the obvious! My anarchist tendencies are flowing right now! This Board must be returned to the supporters!

You’re kidding yourself. Seriously, I’m embarrassed for you. Arrow along with a few others, including Gbatman who just wrote a very logical post on why we are at where we are, are so far above you emotional, negative nancies, I really don’t know why they bother with you. Soapy V is also one of the most positive posters around and will always try to see another’s view if it has sound reasoning.
