I think Bev has changed the culture

Disrespectful
I think both deserve credit. Love Bevo, love the sides will for contest from Macca. Bevo had that and has added our defensive structure. I remember we struggled to keep sides under 100. We just need to remember how to score ourselves. Crameri would help.

No chance of Stu playing this year, even if tomorrow he was reinstated. TC and Bailey Dale said that he was 3 months away with hard work. Meaning, he's nowhere near match fit to play on current levels/form

Dude, I like you, and you have demonstrated that you are intelligent and can be insightful in a number of posts, but why do you persist with posts like that?

Given the context I would have thought you wouldn't feel the need to talk shit like that. We come here to be engaged about footy, not talk shit. Sure there is a pisstake element to it, and a place for comedy, but you say that stuff too consistently and with no discernible purpose.

You know that a lot of what you are saying adds nothing to the discussion, why keep doing it? I mean... Who are you trolling?

Imagine how dangerous our forward line could be with the class and big bodies of this man, as well as Picken, Stringer, Bontempelli and Boyd, plus the pressure of Luke Dahlhaus. Lets hope we can keep them all together and get them in good form together.

The thing ive always hated bout crammers is how hungry he always was/is. In that 2015 final against adelaide he missed shot after shot and wouldn't pass it off. Disease of more

Last year when he was out, our forward line shared it around, looking for each other.

For me, I know we have our issues right now, he is not the answer.

If he is to stay, he needs to be part of the solution, not the problem.

He has afl skills, he just needs to buy in properly, kinda like stringer.

I'd rather see a bloke just ****ing shoot than guys playing ping pong and turning it over inside 50 without score like vs Melbourne and GWS.

The Crameri situation is a bit of a mystery. As it looks now we can assume he's on the market but I'm not sure I understand how he has fallen out of favour to such a serious extent. His 2016 was out of his control, he was injured all/most of this season and prior to that: 2014 he was 2nd highest goal-kicker and in 2015 our third highest goal-kicker. When in form, he is quick, kicks the ball a long way and can take marks both on the lead and one-on-one.
In a team that has had forward struggles all season such contributions would have been valuable.
One could offer many reasons for him being on the outer, all of which are speculative:
- ageing (29)
- concerns about injuries - is the hip operation completely successful?
- poor commitment to the club while not playing
- doesn't fit Bev's team first mantra
- club not prepared to offer anywhere near the money he's on now
Many questions, perhaps more info will emerge eventually, but if he's fully fit, committed and willing to take a pay cut, would a 12 month contract really be a risk?

Warning: pure speculation incoming.

I've got a strong feeling it's due to lack of commitment, attitude problems etc.
The week leading up to round one Crameri was spotted out on Chapel Street pissed as a nit. Sorry for rumour spreading but my mate who saw him is a Bombers fan and actually spoke to him. It's not what I'd expect from a guy who missed a year who should be doing everything he can to get himself as fit as possible and earn a spot with the reigning premiers. Secondly there was the scheduling of his wedding the day before GF day last year which I think could have some implications on how much he cared about the club last year (granted, he wouldn't have known we would make the GF when the wedding was booked but it just irks me a bit). I just don't see Crameri as being a player who is fully committed to the club or "all-in" as Bob Murphy would say, which seems to be the current theme of what we are asking from our players after our season ended.

But I could be completely wrong. Who knows.

A mate of mine who I lined up with at the MCC entry on grand final day year after year had his wedding on grand final eve.

He doesn't even know any footballers and I was outraged - ridiculous time to have a wedding but utterly absurd when you know it's likely the team you play for will play finals.

Most of the year the Dogs were hovering around the top four so while it's not something you'd have put the house on what Crameri did was stupid.

Even if your team wasn't playing finals, what footballer has their wedding on grand final eve?

None of the GF team went to the wedding, iirc. Maybe some others went. But you'd think they'd have preferred to be with their teammates.
