Imho, just as important to the success of the club as anyone else. Oversaw three presidents and three premierships. After 1989 & 2008, he's the next best thing we've taken from Geelong.

As long as we don't have another situation like the one that happened with the appointment of Fantasia.
This may have had a bearing on him excepting another offer.

Apparently had a falling out with Clarko over the fantasia appointment.

They eventually shook and made up but whether their relationship was ever the same only they would know.

I don't believe this. Well done to Fox and all the best to him in his new job but, fair dinkum, when is this brain drain going to end?

A CEO moving is not the same as footballers or coaches, they don't take so many footy secrets with them.

The problem is that good CEOs are always in demand, there's always a company or organisation looking for one. Stuart Fox has forged a pretty impressive reputation and would have been high on the lists of a number of organisations.

Good luck to him, hope his replacement is as good!

Brain drain wasn't really the right term, I just really meant we are losing another very good team member. Yes, he's going to be hard to replace.

It's still talent out the door.
Hope his replacement is better ;)

I cannot understand this really.

We usually send our Hawthorn people to other clubs as secret plants that report back to HFC on what the other clubs are up to.

How is Fox going to the MCC going to help us :D:D:D

It won't but he obviously prefers a Range Rover to an Audi

Cool.

Now we have Dougie Evans and Andrew Newbloke at AFL house to look after us at the MRP and equalisation respectively.
Now Stuart Fox at the MCC to cut us a juicy stadium deal...

So by my calculations that's
#freekickhawthorn
#freemoneyhawthorn
#freestadiumhawthorn

Just need to announce who's funding Dingleyland and we can add #freedingershawthorn to that list as well

Is this a serious post?

I wouldn't be surprised if he returns as a board member in the next couple years.
