Geez Delboy you must be pretty happy no-one has had a crack so far after the weekend.
Was out of town over the weekend, were your blokes no good or did the Bulldogs turn
up ready to play???

The Doggies were OK irymple were very bad. The loss of Price, Romeo added to Crozz, Roberts and ransome certainly did not help our structure. But no excuses Irymple were very cold on sat.

Hopefully can bounce back this week couple of inclusions and a massive 3 weeks ahead for the swallows

Now i know its not massive news but ive heard that red cliffs has sacked there reserves coaches. Rumor i have heard is that ibis is taking over the reins. Please confirm some1 from tiger land or even Ibis himself.

Well done sth. Now fellas how does 7 divide into 4. Its gunna be very tight at the top: Imps, w/worth, R/vale, Mild, R/cliffs, Irymple & Sth. All fighting for only 4 spots.

well as far as i know is that we stil have the same ressies coaches.. but ill confirm that by thursday, after training! i didnt see reardo tonight but i did see robert stephens rock up later. so not sure! (they are the ressies coaches).

Pretty sure the Reddy boys missed the coaches course so are not accredited. Not sacked just cant do it.

Not sure how my name keeps getting thrown up. I don't have the time to coach. I have done the running the last two weeks but away again this weekend. No coaching job for me as I can't commit to the requirements set by Matty for a Ressie Coach. Matty and David Hensch did them on the weekend with some help from Mick Wood.

Havent heard anything about that running event you did Spives! How did you go?

Couple of interesting transfers currently being processed

Sean "Stinky" Smith Robinvale to Euston
Nathan Lawson South back to WW
Bobbie "Wonder Boy"Griffith Merbein back home (been aprroved)

Anyone have an update on any of these changes?

Merv Neagle to leave Merbein! Riordon to take over!
If thats true then it looks like Riordo will have to drive to Swan Hill to finish off his coaching course, after a mystery injury forced him to hobble out of last Sundays (all day) coaching course at red cliffs.......
have a nice drive cob

does anybody know a kid from robinvale by the name of Brodie Rogers? he played alright in a practice match just wondering what kind of a player he is?

he captained the under 18's last year and played a few games of seniors. tall, good hands, light weight but makes up for it with courage. will be a good player with some experience. who is he playing for?

Can anyone tell me how Jade Keam goes? he played for Robinvale last year, they have put big wraps on him. Is joint coach in the lexton plains league this year thanks.

very quick and agile, shits all over his brother. either plays well or goes missing...

Just got the word that Red Cliffs up by 8 goals with just 10 minutes to go. Strange to see last years premiers bumped out of the four after losing badly to Wenty today. Just two wins with probably the best list on paper. I'm sure the coaches must be pulling thier hair out.

Heres hoping Wenty don't get hit with injuries cause their two's are struggling to get a score on the board and they are travelling nicely at the moment.

Imps as per usual are up there and with Irymple slipping down to 6th, the top four is looking very different to what anyone would have imagined this far in to the season.

The next three weeks will be interesting and the ladder will be shaped after each team has played one another. Great season so far.

MULVEY from South Reported apparently.

Re: Merbein, what's goin on?

checked Merbein's scores in all grades, doesn't look promising at this stage, must be creating a few head-aches for Merv! someone mentioned he can't use any of his own players? is that true? if so get they should change their minds and get as many players as Merv wants! Pronto!!!!!:thumbsu:

alls well at merbein apart from the boys not performing. five out of the seniors with no depth in the twos doesnt help. eventually with a full list and no injuries, the boys will still win their 4 or 5 games as expected. Merve will coach this and next year and still has the option of a third,

thanks ! just abit worried, but the fans are happier knowing that Merv is gonna stay around because, all these silly rumours with him going, he always has some sort of influence. gotta keep him! cheers!

Sorry mate, red cliffs wont make the 4. They are only good under lights.
Top 4 all ready finalised, wenty, imps, mildy and robinvale will play off in finals.
Irymple too young, Red Cliffs need key position players, South need gun onballers and a CHF and Merbien are just crap.
Mildura looks like they will loose connick and decket this week. Did anyone see the incidents?

yeah i saw all 3 incidents. connick and bath had a little bit of a blue, a couple of punches each and would hope both get off. the way the league is cracking down on abusing umpires i would say alderton will get at least 1 0r 2 weeks, and deckert cleaned up the smallest bloke on the ground very late and should get 1 or 2.

Magpies wouldn't be crap mate if Imps didn't take their Juniors! Malic etc.Imps pays their players, they wouldn't of won so many flags with out paying the Carr's Hickey's etc , plus grabbing every other junior from every other club! Magpies will be a force sooner than later !:thumbsu:

He was in Deckerts way so he deserves to have been cleaned up as would anyone of any size and it wasn't late the ball was still in the vacinity.

Come to grips with the reality that all clubs pay players.....not all players but those they feel they need. Yes even Imps, but the actual numbers might surprise you when compared to even Merbein's players accounts.

It is also a fact that clubs refuse to offer permanent incentives to juniors reaching senior ranks and fall back on the excuse that the club has done so much for said junior that the player owes the club. Mind you, without the players there would be no club, and therefore no committee members wielding the big stick. Most clubs use this backhanded psychology and refuse to offer money to juniors stepping up. To get any remuneration the player has to have an offer from outside (either monetary or conditions) and the committees, sometimes unwisely, will let them go.

Now if you were half handy as a young footballer and resigned to the fact that you weren't treated as well as out of town talent recruited by the uncaring committee, what are your choices? Stay with a club that has shown inconsistency in results, poor attention to young players concerns, and a willingness to spend thousands of dollars on out of town recruiting....OR....when a club with real credentials shows interest and can offer a shot at finals football almost every year, even without some minor monetary incentive......what would you do?

If thats not a rhetorical question I don't know one when I see one.

Why don't you just say "Fatgutz doesn't like Imperials Football Club's year in and year out success because it finds it easy to recruit young players with offers of good coaching and overall achievement within the sport."

Kidding arent you?
Deckert bumped abloke as he diposed of it...free kick down the ground was all it deserved....and all it should get.

yeah fair point! but i like many other people just want something to go good for a town like Merbein who had a great football past, just wish they could sustain a longer period of success like an Imperials etc! just frustrating when they have good players out there and everyone on the committee is flogging there guts out to get things right, well if a younger players wants to go and play footy with his mates in town what can you do about it? then there is no depth to a club which makes it hard! cheers that's all! just want success for a large supporter group like Merbein for a lot longer than just a couple of years!:thumbsu:

trouble at merbein is too many average players have played senior footy for a few years now and arent up to it, and they and afew of them are sooks but a lack of depth means these blokes have played 40 to 80 games of seniors. The sooner the sfl and the sjfl become one identity, all clubs can look after their juniors and the will remain at their home club. at present a kid playing u/16s for any club can go to any other clubs u18s providing they havent filled in for the u18s. The future is bright for the pies, go and watch their under 12s, some good kids in that side already.:thumbsu:
