Question re Wilkes...

Just wondering where you guys think Beau Wilkes is at in terms of cementing his place in the side for the rest of the season.

From what I understand he was a rookie-listed player so who is on the long term injury list to making way for him and is there a chance Wilkes will be forced back onto the rookie list?

Wilkes was promoted as Braun is on Veterans list...I think?

So pretty sure he won't be forced back on to rookie list - think he's too old for rookie list next year anyway. If he is, he'd be elevated.

Wilkes is going alright, very happy with him and for him. In terms of cementing his spot, who knows these days! He will definately have his fair share of chances.

Re: Question re Wilkes...

no chance of being forced back onto the rookie list as he's on for brauns veterans list spot.

i think he'll stay in as long as he performs. as he has been.

he should be playing the majority of games for the rest of the season.

Re: Question re Wilkes...

From what I understand, WCE have only 1 Veteran (Braun) and not 2 - which means that they (and I think a handful of other clubs) are allowed to nominate a rookie that is allowed to play in that season without being elevated to replace a player on the LTI list. Wilkes is the WCE player that we nominated. So, he can play (if selected) at any stage in the season.

just got concussed in the WAFL. He has no fear that kid. should be a few weeks away and his selection will depend on the form of houlihan, davis, nicoski, macnamara and the return of hurn.

Re: Question re Wilkes...

Correct BartBart.

I think he will probably play the rest of the season based on his performances so far. Though we do seem to have a very high rotation policy this year. This weeks the test with both Hunter and Wilkes playing so keep an eye on it.

Re: Question re Wilkes...

hasn't done anything wrong so far, if he keeps it up he will keep his spot for sure. A lot of competition for those backmen spots now though, glass, hunter, schofield, waters, spangher, mackenzie, wilkes, bones, Nico, hurn, selwood to name a few!

Thats a tough one big man. ROK is worth is weight in gold. Theres a few stories about Benny Mac and his shoulders. I would wait a few days to see what comes out about that. If its bad cut him loose otherwise Gamble as i think he will not get a load more games unless there are injuries at cat land.

Whats your thoughts on Rioli? Worth holding on to as a ground player (tippet and Benny Mac on the bench)? I'm thinking Fev is due for a few good games.

PS: - Cuzz09 - You played hard this week, but the cream rose to the top. Good luck for next week.

A keeper pending amount of trades Max.

A solid 7th foward imo.

I reckon Gamble is a gonner in my SC team. Cheers. :)

Can someone over in west tell me whats going on with jamie Mac? Is he injured or playing in the wafl? All the hype on him preseason made me think he was a monty to get 10 games or so. Is he in wooshas plans at all for rest of the year?
Thanks in advance for info.

Hi guys just a quick question, how is josh kennedy progressing with his knee and will he be straight back in the side or will he have to come back via the wafl?

I have Jk in my side so playing a man down with brett ebert out injured also

i've had scott selwood sitting on my supercoach bench all year. given that you guys have well and truly turned your focus to youth, is he likely to string some senior games together?

Edit: just saw that he had an excellent game in the WAFL last weekend, BEFORE BEING KNOCKED OUT!!!!! formwise, he might be close to a recall, depending on concussion recovery?

Its his third concussion in 4 games. I think hes gonna get rested and probably wont return to AFL at this stage.
