Agree with this - shouldn't denigrate series 25. It was a good season in its own right.

26 had a great run post merge with 3 or 4 terrific episodes in a row, but one of the all time worst pre merges.

How was Denise a 'meh' winner.
She was fantastic and one of only three people I would've been happy with winning and the only one out of the final three I was happy with it being.
Season 26 shows off the worst of Survivor. Brandon's casting that season remains one of Survivor's biggest mistakes. The whole Brenda/Dawn thing is pretty cringe worthy as well.
Also throwing out a billion idols to try and protect Malcolm seemed even more unfair than usual.
It has some great episodes but its worst episodes are some of the worst of all 27 seasons

For a while it did go a little Malcolm crazy, but he's a great contestant and the episodes that centered on him were fantastic

I have no issue with Malcolm.
I think he's awesome and he is just what the show and that season needed. It was everything around him I had a lot of issues with.

Denise is like Natalie White in that she got a crappy edit because the editors were more worried about making the season an advertisement for Malcolm/Russell on the upcoming all stars.
Better player than Natalie though.

They got the beauty tribe wrong I think, nothing special to look at there, and some of that braun tribe seem rather dumb.
Oh well, I ignored all the spoilers all day so I'll sit back and watch it with ads now.

Go Cliff!!! I'm a huge Miami fan, but i've always had a soft spot for the Blazers and it'd be great to see Cliff go far. He certainly appears to be on the strongest tribe....for how long though?
As for the first episode, it was crazy!!! Chucking the rice in the fire and surviving the vote, WTF!?!?!?!? It was Brandon Hantz MKII. Good to see David the schemer and Garrett the boring muppet gone though.
I wouldn't say they're the most likeable bunch of contestants, however i'm sure they'll entertain. I hope we don't see a merge until at least four contestants are gone (similar to the season with Malcolm and Penner)
