Survivor 28: Cagayan (Brawn, Brains, Beauty) [No Spoilers]

Like a lot of other people, I'm on Team Wu-Tang at this early stage.

Morgan is ridiculous. It's a pity survivor requires you to speak though. Alexis seems to be underrated :hearts:, but i guess she needs more screen time.

Anyone else think J'Tia looks like Chris Bosh?

I liked how the two guys from the Brains team got so blindsided. The look on that second guys face when he was voted out was classic. I disagreed with the women complaining that an open forum wasn't playing the game. The guy who pushed that was playing the game, the game of saving his own neck but it backfired. Why they didn't vote that woman out after she tipped all the rice on the fire is beyond me. That would've been the final straw for me.

Confirming the lack of brains?

It's a shame that there are no Cochrane-esque types on the brains team. There's a difference between nuclear engineering (or whatever it was) smarts and survivor smarts. Although I question J'Tia's intelligence in general

Promising start, no sad losses at the first 2 tribal councils.

I thought Spencer came across as having a lot of "survivor smarts"

Cochran wasnt that smart the first time he played either i didnt think

I didn't take a lot of notice of Spencer, in fairness to him.

I guess brawn is one of those things that translates a lot more literally to survivor than brains, beauty is a bit of a wildcard.

Brilliant summation of the first episode:

I think I'm going to keep an eye on this girl's blog.

It was quite hilarious and summed up very well how I felt about all the players and what went down. I also like that it was needlessly and ridiculously long. The Dimples intro was brilliant.

Every season I'm quickly reminded why I partly dislike Survivor...

Basically, be a presence for what you need to do but don't be an influence. At the first Tribal, if I was J'Tia and Jeff kept asking me questions, I would have said "Jeff, you have asked me enough questions. Talk to someone else."

Tribal Council generally goes for between 1-2 hours. Whilst it appears one TV that he is just probing on person he asks everyone similar questions until he learns more about each person.

Lold at Spencer's message to JTai when voting her off

"The fact you are a nuclear engineer is genuinely, genuinely, scary" :D

Really poor start from the brains tribe. I just don't understand the rationale behind voting out perceived physical and tactical threats so early rather than trying to get to the merge in decent shape numbers wise, especially when it's three tribes of six which doesn't give you much room for error. And how you could pour the tribe's entire rice supply onto the fire and return from tribal the next day almost defies belief.

There are already some interesting players emerging.

Woo and Cliff looks an interesting duo. Strong but likable.

Tony coming across as something of a wannabe Russell Hantz type. Can't see him lasting very long.

As mentioned by others, Spencer could also be a contender but needs to find a way out of that sinking ship brains tribe he is on.

And yes, it would be good to see Jefra, Morgan and Alexis team up and go far into the game. :thumbsu:

Surely production take the idol and rehide it before they get back to camp

That would be interfering which is something that is very much not in the spirit of the game.

The only time production are allowed at the camp are for medical emergencies.

For those who cant watch (or tape or download it) on Thursday night, looks like the replay is on GO 3pm Sundays.

I asked the same question about the idol a few pages ago. They probably have a rule regarding if an idol isnt played and is left at camp.

My money is definitely on them hiding it again.
