Richmond are woeful. Yes they have injuries but they are so poor by foot and poorly disciplined. Lots of talk but actions speak louder than words.

Up there as one of the biggest backs against the walls wins this club has seen in my lifetime.

We had no right to win that on paper with the injuries we had.

The post game celebrations in the room told a big story, honestly looking at that score i thought it would be in favor of Richmond.

Didn't give us a chance at all

Was a critical time in the game where Richmond could have made a real dent and his ball use was sublime.

Been the hill since we drafted him.

Amartey and Logan can mesh very, very well for the long term. Let Logan roam up field and have Amartey roam the 50. If Logan needs a breather park him in the 35-50m area and park Amartey deep or in ruck

Being a Glenelg supporter it was fantastic to see Will Gould make a solid debut, looked a bit over awed at times but that was solid start to his career.

Maybe I'm over doing it but I thought that was a terrific win considering what we had out there.

Giving all the votes to Papley but Blakey was terrific, Hayward was solid in the 4th few important Mark's.

Ladlams is such lad does the most unco things at times but he was quite important.

Heeney finally did something in 5 weeks still nowhere near enough impact across the game

nah, not overdoing it, that was a cracking win, against a similarly desperate, fired-up side
as someone posted in the gameday thread, the coaches mostly just cop criticism but that was a great coaching job, particularly after amartey went down ...
martin was made to look ordinary, almost no effect on the game, same with bolton apart from flashes
they managed a few breakaway goals but generally we controlled the game
and defence looked really flexible but strong when needed (mostly) ... blakey, lloyd, fox ... there was never a sense of panic tonight, even when it got tense late third quarter
gould got better as the game went on, and did a couple of really important things

If im being honest Gould and Warner had debuts that exposed that they are still very much a work in progress. Very happy for them both to get the experience but they are going to likely be first out (JMac should join them for a week)

With that out of the way so happy for them to taste senior footy especially Gould who has toiled hard.

I am over the moon with that win I actually think it was our season on the line even though early days. If we drop the next two we can recover.

I have never been so frustrated in a game with kicking blindly out of defence over and over and 90% of the time went straight to the Tigers. Need to be better than that rubbish.

First half Blakey beyond expectations
Second half Papley also beyond expectations.

Plenty of key moments and contributors but most of all the Port game feels erased and I’m so proud of there efforts regardless of the commentary team making sure that Richmond were the worst done for. Losing Amartey mid game evened that right up.
