Looks like Bazza is a good chance of going to the Doggies, but sounds like they don't like the $400,000 price tag. Perhaps a perfect opportunity for the Swans to say "look, Bazza's not budging on the $400,000, but if you give us a better pick, we'll cover $100,000 for you"....

Hey, if it is possible (as in, within the rules), I'd certainly go for it. Big "if" though, even if it's technically allowed the AFL might give us a very strong warning not to.

That would be good if we could get a better pick out of it considering we have so much money in the salary cap available, but Barry can hardly negotiate on the contract price tag i would think, he has only 2 clubs really going after him atm according to most people, Dogs and Blues.

What is the deal with Vez? I never take much of an interest in the draft or the reserves so I don't know anything about him but he hasn't looked that good in the seniors. Is he meant to be awesome or is he just the next Moore?

Had some injury problems that really disrupted his preaseason. Didn't have the fitness base to compete for entire matches this year. Surely you agree that he has shown some good signs though?

AG he's a high draft pick -for our standards- his a freak around the ball, if he builds up his fitness and avoids injury, he'll shit on moore.

Yeah, he has shown good signs but Damien Cupido showed good signs initially. I'm not saying get rid of him, it's just when ever you go to another team board and talk about trades, everyone seems to want Vez.

His the only sydney youngen they no

Just a tip!

1.Swans have in excess of $1mill to spend... thats MUST SPEND due to AFLPA collective bargaining rules

2. We have little value to trade unless ROK is still keen to move south.

Therefore

Swans must try to pickup those that are unwanted or out of contract and are in a strong position to out bid any others!( the money is somewhat irrelevant they have tospend it anyway... so FRONT LOAD new contracts!

Get a oversupply stock...to trade to GC for top picks next year!

PS BigBEZ:D

That slurry comment will ....comeback to bite you on the arse!!!!:p

Vesz ....AINT SOFT!.....That one incident against Dogs in his debut yr was SMART football!!!! He tried to blind spin and evade Morris at fullsteam..it didn't quite work but better than being smashed for certain!

Well there u go. I didn't know we 'had' to spend the money. Your point is valid, sign 'em and frontload and see how they go. Just hope we don't have to give up too much. Vez seems to be a bit ahead of himself, not soft. What's soft in todays climate? One could argue that Riewoldt is soft. As far ROK goes, right now, he's worth top ten, no less. We didn't get that last year, so i guess he's staying with us...yay!

Vez has massive potential, will be twice the player Moore will ever be. Really hope he is injury free and fit next year, one of the most exciting youngsters on our list along with Hannebery and White.

A lot of heavy criticism of Moore here.

He's very skilful, just some issues with fitness because of his body shape, as far as I can tell.

I'm a Moore fan; if we had to trade him, I hope it's worth it, but there's a few I'd rather see used as trade bait. I still think Moore has a big future with Sydney.

Couldn't have said it any better. I'm an unashamed Moore fan and i reckon he and Birdy can be our new in and under wrecking crew when Jude and Kirky leave (they have a lot to live up to in those 2 of course, and im not suggesting that he will be as good as either of them).

I just hope Roosy lets him play through the middle more like he was doing late in the year after his stay in the 2's. As PB said, he seems to ahve fitness problems so i just hope he gets really fit this summer so he has the tank to do the gut running well in the middle.

Anyone got footage of this? Can't for the life of me remember it.

Hi,

Saw somebody mention Pick 6 + star for Lovett :D
Seriously, would you consider Lovett + pick 26 as a trade for pick 6.

I don't think Roos would. The reason we've traded high is that we rarely have picks in this zone. This draft the top 6-8picks are regarded by the experts as class and it falls away fast.

If there right pick 6 is going to be gold and while we would be interested in Lovett pick 6 would not be involved but I don't think we've got anything else of interest. So if we don't use pick 6, and I don't think we will, Sydney just don't have the currency to pull this trade.

It's not yet inked in, but we can start thinking of a wish list ... Hall almost certain to sign two-year deal with the Bulldogs; Sydney agreeable to third-round pick plus "bit-part" player (I guess that means one not in the squad that finished the season ... Everitt? Stack?) to get the deal done.

This news will break in the next few hours.

Is it confirmed it'll be a third round + fringe player or is that what you want?

Eliminating pick 6, the only player I can see Essendon being interested in is J. McVeigh. Obviously this would reuire a lot of haggling, but somehow I think he would be untouchable from your point of view. ;)

I wonder who the player is. Please let it be Brennan Stack or Andrejs Everitt.

3rd rounder plus player is a DEFINITE win for us, I guess they REALLY want Hall!

And semi-happy he signed for two years, means I can get along to a match against the Swans the year I get back!
