With Day One down and Seaby now a Swan and Pick 28 now ours and Buchanan leaving for the Lions and Pick 22 heading to the Eagles feel free to keep up with the trade week discussions here, including the latest on the Possible Jolly trade to Collingwood and the Mumford interest from Roos and other ideas that come our way including the never ending nightmare story of Fevola.

The Swans have offered Mumford $900,000 over three years. This stuff must be a worry for Currie and Orreal. Mumford would be better than Blake thats for sure, i think it will happen as the Cats need salary cap relief. I would also try and swap Moore for Kennedy as Kennedy has more upside.

From the little I have seen of Currie & Orreal they are predominately athletes. Currie often plays KPF in ressies both need to learn the game.

Bedford you know enough about footy to know that just cause you're tall doesn't mean you become a good ruckman, nor prevent an athlete playing other positions....ruck is ALL about footy smarts!

If Jolly goes... and if he or his Mrs wants out then he should... there no guarantee with Seaby ...better to make sure in Swans stoppage orientated gameplan. Mumford is better than Blake!

Good move:thumbsu:

Yeah, I hope the rumours about Mumford are true, he could be a great pick up. I think we should offer pick 28 or something to get Josh Kennedy. What do you guys think hes worth?

A haul of Seaby, Mumford, Kennedy while keeping pick 6 and losing Jolly (who has forced our hand to trade him) and Amon is a pretty good trade week really with a different assortment of draft picks.

What is all the talk about Fev and us now? The Blues board are talking about ROK and pick 14 for Fev as if it is signed, sealed and delivered. Please someone tell me they know exactly the same as what i know and they are just all speculating on BF BS.

Yep....I think it's just kicked in for some of them that there is visibly no one left in the race and so Sydney must still be the only possible destination because, well, we take on rejects from other clubs, we have the cash necessary and our team needs the interest generated.

Well here's a turn up.

Rumours spread last night that the Hawks had withdrawn their offer for Port Adelaide's Burgoyne and switched targets to Sydney ruckman Darren Jolly.
There was speculation Hawthorn was prepared to give up pick nine to the Swans in a straight swap for Jolly, 28 next month.
But last night Jolly's manager Paul Connors was adamant Jolly would be playing at Collingwood next year.
A deal for Collingwood's pick 14 and possibly a player is close to completion.
"Darren Jolly will not be playing for Hawthorn Football Club next season. He is committed to playing at Collingwood next season," he told the Herald Sun.

Is this about a return to Melbourne or is there a specific club.

Is Jolly being 100% straight with his motives for wanting to return to Melbourne or has he always had a move to a specific club in mind.

He's not looking for the best deal for Sydney for a move he clearly wants to go to one club and one club only.

Now we know we really can play hard ball.

I'm under assumption that everybody is sick of Fev speculation. Waiting for the Blues Board to realise that NOBODY WANTS HIM. Plus we just got rid of Hall, really want a replacement of that quality.

Anyway, I can see the Jolly trade (if it occurs) being done on Wednesday or Thursday. No idea why just seems a good time

Interesting....but I don't like the 'possibly' a player part.

It'd be nice if he wanted to go to Hawthorn - they have more to offer IMO (although if we could get the Pies to include a guy like Wellingham, that would be a win).

Yeh it looks like nobody wants him it's just the Blues dont wanna hear that.

However, i jsut wont be happy until Roosy comes out and says "WE WILL NOT TRADE FOR BRENDAN FEVOLA". atm he is saying we havent discussed it yet and it is unlikely being the politican that he is. I reckon they will have a look at him after the Jolly trade if indeed it does happen.

So i reallhy hope if the Jolly trade does happen, it happens in the last 20 minutes of friday so there is no time to trade for Fev.
WE DONT NEED HIM ROOSY.

Dogs have called a major announcement at 10 am, in 5 minutes. Surely it is to publicise the Hall trade has gone through.

If we can get a first round pick plus a player for Jolly (be it Hawthorn's + Kennedy or Collingwood's + ???), I'd be happy for us to use pick 28 for Mumford to firm up our ruck stocks, I think.

That way we have brought in two promising young ruckmen and a young midfielder, plus a first round draft pick, and lost Jolly, Buchanon and Pick 22.

He's clearly chasing $$$ with the pies. His fat, ugly slag of a wife must have eyed off a nice, new, expensive purse to keep Darren's testicles in.

Barry deal done.

WB gain Hall, we gain a 3rd rounder and there is apparently a late round pick exchange coming as well.

The details of the trade are still to be finalised, however it will involve the Bulldogs parting with their 3rd round draft pick and the Bulldogs and Sydney trading two other later draft choices (the details of this to be determined by the end of Trade Week).

i felt we were gonna cave.... too much fuss for what should of been an easy trade

on speculation, i believe this may be the trade

IN: pick #47 + #63
OUT: Hall + pick #54

it satisfies the two extra picks mentioned.... we get a pick upgrade and a late pick (which we are likely to use, but the bulldogs aren't)

At this point the important question is "Who the **** does Jolly think he is?". What the **** is up with all these players who want to move home for "family reasons" then only want to go to one club?

Shotties

When you get married you will understand:eek:

I THANK Jolly (for honesty and balls) and will always respect him as a player who MADE IT! ...to the big time.

Jolly.... IS NOT YET GONE!;)

It's not that he's leaving, I understand that he's going home for family reasons, but dictating that they will only club whilst maintaining that line is beyond lame.
