Campbell slowly worked his way into the game but nothing that demanded he stay in the side. He had a great moment in the centre where he attacked the ball, got the contested possession and then handballed to someone I can't remember. It was the inside 50 that led to the Amartey free kick.

But he just doesn't do it enough.

He also doesn't get enough time in his best spot either .

Wicks at one point had 5 clangers for like 1 possession. Only had 2 score involvements. 2 tackles and 1 inside 50, all im saying is that pretty much all of his statistics are well down from last year

Parker is going to need a midfield injury most likely. They don't seem to want him
forward, guess he will have to hit form in the VFL and see.



I agree Wicks needs a bit more offensively but yeah will be interesting , not sure Parker is the answer anyway.

There's no way Parker would have finished with 4 possies and 2 tackles.

Last year we were already speculating that this might be the year he spends more time forward. Think he's a natural replacement.

They were probably cold, exhausted and soaking, and wanted to be off the oval asap. And to be honest it’s a medal that is only meaningful to the Swans really, (GWS wouldn’t give two hoots about Kirk) it’s no Norm Smith or Brownlow. I don’t think anyone will care. The most important speech a team captain can give is on grand final day.

I've never understood why the medal was named after a person involved with only one of the two clubs. Anyone know or remember the reasoning for that? Has always seemed odd.

29% is the lowest CBA % i can find for Parker and he ended up with 19d 8m 4t alongside 2 goals.
Next lowest is 38% in which he ended up with 18d 1m 1t
Another game he played 50% CBAs but most of his heatmap touches were in the forward line and he kicked 5.1

Personally i would just make two changes Wicks and Campbell out and Fox and Corey in. Get Wicks and Campbell some time in the twos where they can rip it up and gain some form and confidence. Put Cleary into the Wicks role and then also Corey into the Campbell role and potentially more of JM behind the football. Fox to the sub role

Campbell probably needs a run in the 2s. Wicks though I think has been okay despite a poor game today and holds his place

. Seems to work his backside off. If he doesn't win the tap, he scraps and throws himself to try and gain possession. He's help change our midfield dynamic this season.

He has been huge, but his disposal and kicking efficiency is poor. If he could hit more targets, we would be even better.

Fair maybe i was a little bit early in calling for Warner back into the side and maybe Wicks could do with a game or two from the sub role just to give him a change up because i want him in the side but his number are well down from 2023. Like he hasn't had 5 tackles in any game last year and he averaged 5 in 2023 and had a run of 8 games where he had 5 or more tackles to finish 2023
