The game was lost with our inability to lock the ball inside our 50

Up by a goal have a ball up inside our 50. We let an easy kick get out and FN Williams doesn't punch the ball , but instead provides the softest contest and the fu-cking front runner Papley gets a free run at the ball. This happened at least 3 times tonight

We are tactically inept and soft as butter .

A couple of things,

  • the pressure is not there
  • players lacking accountability
  • poor decision making
  • players not up to it
  • stupid ****ing game plan of play on at all cost

Im over the Bevo & Spangher coaching because it's not working. The talent has wasted away on what could have been a golden era for the club.

Very frustrating to lose that. Being down a tall at either end hampered being able to even up contests. Worse is Buddy got a absolute ride for the game to no fault of the dogs.

Melts always come in close loss but it's a dodgy loss due to umpiring in a game we were underdogs in anyway and structurally having two talls injured gave us a disadvantage and one fewer rotation.

The fixture opens up here, we have very winnable games to finish and the destiny is in our hands.

Disagree, umpiring was not the reason for the loss tonight. Poor decision making on a number of occasion and little to no accountability with defensive pressure after the forward press

We desperately need a genuine pressure HF type. Quaynor & Noble killed us last week, and Blakey this week.
Arty Jones is just too young to play a full season yet. Garcia needs a run at it to become that 'tackle first, score second' type of player.

Did anyone see English get any ruck help int he second half? Pretty sure he did the whole half himself. Huge effort.

I‘ve already lost what little hair I have left over that last forward entry straight to their spare man.

How in the **** can that happen?

We need a goal to win the game, where are the ****ing forwards?

Just disgraceful and unbelievably falling from both the players and the coaches.

Agreed but the umpiring cost us at least 3-4 goals tonight which didn't help

What a load of crap. Any half decent side would have beaten the swans regardless. I admire your loyalty, but this attitude is not doing our club any good. This constant performance is just not acceptable and a waste of a great core of talent this list has.

Transition from an average team to a really poor one.
I can see the wheels coming off over the next month.
Probably needed really. Need a better turn over with the list at the end of the year and missing finals might help push the club to make some decisions.

Oh come on man the umpires were literally garbbling Sydneys balls all game with umpire calls, I'm never one to rag on umpires but tonight it was completely unforgivable, maybe the umps way of saying sorry for 2016? The amount of missed or wrong calls tonight was the worst I've seen at AFL level in years
