Well we lost. Weren't good enough with the lack of tall options up front but we had 9 chances from those usual forwards that as a whole can convert one of those usually& we win. If you'd like me to mention the opposition then here we go.
Okay so we have a couple of tall forwards ready to go in the NEAFL why didn't they play?
Mason Wood converted all 4 of his shots for 4 goals straight & their umpires converted a goal from a behind as well.
So all in all we had a bad game conversion wise.
We're talking individuals now? I thought we were comparing teams? But yes we got robbed in regards to that goal that was paid.
Don't just take my "expected" word for it.
Look at the stats.
I did and both Norf and the Swans kicked for goal inaccurately. Us playing into their hands had more to do with their win than our goal kicking accuracy.

Whats happened to Heeney goal kicking :( used to slot them with ease from 50.

Has lost all confidence it seems. He is a beautiful kick.

There has been a bit of chatter on the sports radios this week about goal kicking training across the league. Surely our players have goal kicking at training. I don't know.

Yep. There is no excuse for some of the shots missed tonight from both sides. I nearly smashed my desk when Hayward did that banana. I just shook my head with dismay at Heeney and Jack's misses.

Well they are just not good enough given they got to the point of having a shot.
Based on tonight's game we are in a lot of trouble against the Hawks without a tall option up front.
Cameron must come in now that he has completed two quality games in the reserves & if Fox is thought of as a forward then he or Ronke make way for taller structure.

If Cameron is on track then he probably should play. Hopefully Buddy is right to play.

Don’t try and spin any postivity out of that, that was genuinely embarrasing!! :$

I think most of us here would agree... your trolling has no effect on us after that game :p

Yeah no one can troll us more than our own team has at this point in time.

Evidently scoring's been a slog for the past month now. The Geelong last quarter was somewhat of an aberration, the team just doesn't seem to be accustomed to lowering the eyes and hitting up leads as much as we talk about it. We need two key forwards in the team to have any structure, and bring the ball to ground to get our smalls into the game.

That performance just wasn't acceptable from us tonight. Sorry loyal fans of the Swans. Our defence just wasn't good enough.

Thanks John. Good thing you didn't use the word unswanslike, otherwise I would have carded you!

Hahaha jesus christ how did you lose that??

AFL completely riding your ***** with Academy/COLA and then you lose to genuine battlers/wooden spoon favourites in North...

Classy.

What is this talent you speak of ?

The side is lauded more for its teamwork than its brilliance. Heeney is the only genuinely amazing player out there. And he has the yips real bad at the moment. The giants have amazing talent and they were pumped.

Mills is as I've said before just a player. He's got a coolness under pressure and a hardness physically but he has no real weapons - no speed, no marking, isn't brilliant kicking or by hand. He's just a good solid player. Who else is supposed to have talent ?
No marking?he is literally our best contested mark pound for pound

I hate that afl.com tried to spin it like our forward line failed because Buddy wasn’t there. Like structurally maybe, but of course it’s going to be hard for this particular forward line to always fire.

In games played we had only one forward with over 200 games (Jack), another in Rohan who only just clocked 100 games), and then you had Heeney, Hewett, Papley, Hayward, Florent, Fox and Ronke, who combine for an average of just over 30 games played. Yeah they blew their opportunities and all had underwhelming games (besides Hewett who was solid).. but that has to be expected and they deserve a pass IMO.

We could ask Clarko for a you-beaut game plan but it would be worthless given our lack of basic skills.
We have been ordinary, by our lofty standards, all year.
In many ways the start to this year has been worse than Owen last year.
This year we just look ordinary, even when we play well, we still look ordinary.
The good thing is that no team has looked especially fabtastic so far this year. Tigers almost by last team standing are the team that look to be playing the best footy.
Sinclair is Sinclair, tries his guts out every week but his level of impact is wildly inconsistent.
Our reliance on Buddy, JPK and Ramps is obvious.
Buddy isn't playing, JPK is off and Ramps is playing undersized each week and massively against the odds.
McVeigh and Jack are both horribly out of form. Neither are best 22 ATM.
Our tackling is embarrassing.

North didn't deserve to win. They were as putrid as us.
A draw would have been an injustice to footy.
