Well the Sweet Provincial And Municipal Football League is the competition for you. A developmental league designed to bridge the gap between the Sweet Football Association and the Surburban Football Association with each Sweet FA team has a developmental affiliate club for surplus squad players to play in along with the best from the Surburban Football Association.

This video focuses on the same universe as the locations in the world of Sweet, the manufactured geographical home of the Sweet Football Association.

The Sweet FA is the Australian Football community's foremost (only) simulated fantasy Aussie Rules league, which commenced in 2001, and is now on the verge of Season 36.

The exact logistics of the concept are still a work in progress, next week sims will be posted in here with tags of relevant players and links in the match threads.

I just found it incredibly weird that the whole point of a reserves competition would have been to engage inactive SFA members and then the competition made no attempt to do just that.

I like this initiative, it's a good way to get inactive posters back into the competition and to offer those who are active but cannot secure a spot in the club's League side a match every week so they can break back into their club's senior side. It's something that is a work in progress but can certainly build itself up to be the competition's reserve grade competition.

Naming the competition the SFA Reserves or SFA Development League would be a good way to go about it and openly tagging members involved in the competition would be another way to pique their interest. I'm looking forward to seeing where this competition goes over the coming season.

Sounds like an issue where your committee rep didn’t inform you of what was going on mate.
