Uh, we're not trading Didak for Jolly + Pick 28.

How exactly, in your scenarios, is Cameron Wood worth more than Alan Didak? Am I confusing which one of the two has been AA, won finals games off his own boot and a club B&F under his belt.

Hale, Brown, Moran or Harding could all meet your requirements. Make an offer.

You have an aging list, and you still want to trade away high draft picks and what little youth you do have?!?

Schneider and Jolly for draft picks not players. Start to rebuild now Swannies.

Highly doubtful Lions would sacrifice the player, or any ruckman for that matter.

Didak for Jolly + 28 is a very good trade. You get a ready made ruckman and an earlier 2nd round pick than the pies will have.

what about the younger players like thornton and simpkin?
will they still be there next year?
possible delistings, along with half of the players i mentioned that would be availble for trade.

Vogels & Grundy are likely delistings, and possibly Moore.

Brabazon may get the axe as well.

Sydney just aren't elevating enough young players and phasing out the older and ordinary players.

Pick 11 is worth considering but think we will be keeping Wood.

Also there is talk on the blues board about trading up to their pick 3 plus pick 20.

So picks 8,11

Or picks 3,20

I suggested that idea only if the club was obsessed with getting Cotchin at Pick 1.

However I'd rather take Kreuzer with Pick 1 & punt on the tigers overlooking Cotchin at Pick 2.

As a few other Blues posters pointed out there can be a big difference between pick 3 & pick 8 (especially in this draft).

I'd be very disappointed if we gave away our first two picks along with 2 premiership players for a rookie ruckman and a half forward which we don't really have a particular need for.
i think trading the ruckman might be a given, jolly didn't perform anywhere near his best this season, and is quite likely to have his name brought up at the trade table.

If carlton are willing, Picks 3 & 36 for Jolly and you are likely to have a deal, likewise picks 8 & 18 and the swans would trade.

Swans however are in need of another ruckman, and would likely trade away first two round picks for one.

would even consider throwing in a young and developing player, like laidlaw, or a pick in return.
also l.vogels/h.grundy

Port should have a look at Dempster and Ablett, we need a full time tagger. Imagine how good Kane Cornes would be then
