If we want a lockdown fwd, play Clarke, if we want an inside contested player then Sheldrick is the man.
It's what Gus is good at, it's something we need, play him as a mid.

If we were that desperate for an inside contested player then I'd be turning to Rowbottom, who has proven himself capable at the highest level in the biggest games, before I'd be turning to Sheldrick, who has one senior game to his name.

If it were up to me personally, I'd be ousting Parker from the mids, putting him forward and playing Sheldrick in there, so that he and Rowbottom could help us in there together. As it happens I think there is a pecking order and Sheldrick is at the bottom of it, so will likely be given a role on a flank. Just my guess.

Personally I'd bring carner in for Cunningham. I've benched Harry.

I think that would be a slap in the face. We just had the worst performance of Horse's tenure, and Sheldrick just had the best performance of anyone wearing red and white this weekend (yes, lower opposition I know). He must be rewarded with a spot in the 22 if there is to be any accountability in the side.

Green and Coniglio might be the two best midfielders on the ground.

Flynn might be the better ruckman on the ground.

Taylor is undoubtably the best defender on the ground.

Hogan, Himmelberg and Greene might be the three best forwards on the ground.

Our 11-23 need to smash their 11-23 to win this.

SCG gives me more confidence but I dont think we should be big favourites. Leaning towards GWS.

Beyond hopefully getting Rampe and T mccartin back, I’m curious to know what changes Horse will make.

Rampe to ruck and T mac to play as a small forward.

If Mclean is playing, possibly debut McAndrew for Ladhams if Hickey not ready.
