We've got a Essendon supporter at work with a sense of humour. His take is in 2023 the eldest of his 6 (!) kids started driving and the youngest kid from his 2nd marriage started primary school, but in his words "last time Essendon won a final I think I was still a virgin".

I’m struggling. I love that the AFLW is a nicer, less tribal environment. But I never want any Essendon team to win anything.

There was a recent stat thrown out there where they listed all clubs “days since a finals win” our girls have won finals and it obviously didn’t count. No, it doesn’t count, as much as they wish it did, it simply doesn’t
