North Adelaide ??

Would be extremely unlikely to go to North Melbourne.
No way he goes to North Melbourne, you'd have to be on drugs to go there.

north melbourne
plenty of cap, cunnington is cooked and desperately need someone to replace higgins who is not already past it
He won't want to go from 1 bottom dweller to another.

At very least he'll go mid table with promise.

hes happy to stay with us and we won the spoon so thats not it
Why would he move to win another ?? He's happy to stay with us because he loves Adelaide the city and club, and his partner is extremely entrenched here and lost her father 12 months ago.

Of course money is a factor, but he would also want to win.

Do these journos do any research? Brad has said multiple times he will very happily stay if our offer was comparable with others, and there is no way we are offering less than he is currently on! Seriously, what a pointless article.

His brain is just a peanut.

absolutely no flipping clue and his bias for Geelong is rank.

Very surprised this clown kept his job through covid offers abolsutely fk all.

I actually think Jay Clarke is on the money here and I don't think there's anything unreasonable about what he's said. Read the article, he doesn't say Brad is going to Geelong, in fact he suggests its unlikely, but that they haven't quite made up their mind on Brad. He goes on to say that if Brad wanted to go to the Cats, he'd need to accept something in the vicinity of $450k, he's not saying that he will.

Lets face it, Geelong aren't the club that's likely to offer Brad the big bucks.

If Brad did decide to go to Geelong, its for other reasons, in which case I imagine we'd be heading down a similar path as we did with Dangerfield.

The lazy journalism likely stems from other Journalists using Geelong as the standard fall back "guess" as to where they would go.

Crouch and his management are potentially also using this to their advantage to drum up his price elsewhere.

Oh mate, come on.

Doesn't really make sense for them to be in the conversation AT ALL if they're going to be throwing a figure that's $100-$150k less than what he's on. This is pure, unadulterated CLICKBAIT.

Exactly, he's better off just saying that Geelong are out of the Brad Crouch race, rather then being in a 'potential middle ground' that neither Geelong, Brad or the Crows would ever even remotely consider taking under any circumstance.

Journalistically he would have been better off posting a photo of a monkey playing the symbols, because he didn't say a single thing of substance. All he did was make himself look either ethically bias or just straight up incompetent. For his sake I hope its the latter!

Which is pretty much what he's saying.

He's not suggesting he's going to Geelong on such coin. He's not saying Crouch should accept that level of coin. He's saying whilst Geelong would take Crouch, they're not going to pay him top dollar and as a result Geelong are unlikely to get him.

The media have a habit of suggesting every player leaving his club is likely to end up at Geelong. Its lazy Journalism.

I'm no fan of Jay Clarke, he's a clear Geelong fanboi, but what he's saying is perfectly reasonable and what he's written has probably provided a much better insight into the actual situation than most.

Sure the headline's a little overzelous, but that's modern day journalism, there's a shittonne worse out there.

Now if he was trying to suggest that Crouch is only worth $400-450k/annum and that we should accept a fourth rounder for him, that's completely different.

Perhaps, but then maybe the Crouch camp haven't actually said no either, instead hoping to drag things out to either entice a better offer out of Geelong, or to convince another club that there's genuine competition for his services.

Click bait.

He purposely put that dollar value in to generate more clicks.

Said no to what mate? The deluded POV of a twitter journalist who took a ballpark stab at a lowball figure without understanding that the player would need to take a pay cut from his current offer to accept it?

And yet 2 hours earlier u posted this...

hes going to north as ive been saying for days
Gee you spin some crap...🔥

That type of deal puts him in the ballpark with someone like Mackay a few years back, just a seriously poorly researched article as there is no way our offer would be less than what Crouch is on now. Geelong aren’t that stupid to offer that amount either, they know it would get them laughed out of the room.

He's basically looking at what he thinks is left in Cats' salary cap, they're pursuing Brouch, so he'll have to accept that. It completely ignores the reason that Brad is testing his RFA value. It's just rubbish from an obviously simple person.

Don't mind getting Fanta but dealing with Dodo with everyone else jumping ship at the Dons it will either be quick as he has to deal with the Lions or the last hour of the trade period.
Upgrade to Murphy.
